New from Central Illinois.

Whats up guys name is Dakota. I just traded my 03 Mustang GT for a 09 Cobalt SS sedan, I have liked these cars since my buddy bought one new in 06. Finally got around to getting one funny this is I had no intention of buying one it just kinda happened. I drove 300 miles around trip to go look at a SRT-4 I got there and it was junk. So when I got back home I looked online and seen the place I got my Mustang from had a 04 CTS so I went there to look at that and it was sold. So just for the hell of it I asked about the 06 SS/SC they had (wasn't going to buy it just wanted to look at it). We went out he stared it up and it was burning coolant like crazy so I told him forget it and then he pointed out two other SS cobalts a SS 2.4 and then the Sedan. As soon as I seen it I knew it was mine.

Havent had a chance to clean it up and get some good pictures of it yet so this is the only one I have.

The Cobalt isn't as clean as my Mustang was but I definitely like it more and it feels a little faster. Plus from what little research I have done it should be easier to make power with. I don't have any big plans for it just some basic bolt ons to try and make it competitive next racing season. Anything I should know as a new Cobalt guy?

Right now I'm just trying to do some research and see what combos work best. I have an idea what I want just need to keep reading the forums and learn more about these cars before I start buying stuff. I was going to buy a intake right away but from what I have read so far it seems they cause problems without a tune? So I need to figure out what all I can do without a tune and then go from there.

The intake throws the fuel trims off, if you don't tune tho you won't see the gains. I would say to get a dp and intake then get your tune

Buy all your bolt ons and tune. The car will learn down any moda you do back to oem levels. So you wont make any power without tuning

So I have a question is it normal for your boost to go higher in competitive mode? I wanted to test out the No lift shift and noticed that I was hitting 22-23psi.

I thought this was a comp mode thing but after more testing it does it with comp off. I have seen it hit 20psi before but most of the time im at 16-17psi.

Trifecta has a dual-tune mode where it can be switched via TC or CC button, that may be what you're experiencing, without knowing more

Usually he has it set to turn the turn on when comp mod is on or traction is disabled and stock or a different tune when its on. So turn the traction on and you will have tune a.
