now, there's a question in there?

You have brand new brakes and rotors and tires and you feel a vibration when you hit the brakes. Right?
And you want to know why.

Tires balanced?
Lug nuts torqued to spec properly? Should be 100 ft/lbs
Were the caliper bolts torqued properly? 85 ft/lbs Did you use locktite on them?

Tell that to the idiots at the Auto-X I went to that tightened the damn things to 150....don't ask me how I got those lug nuts off....

Anyways I HAVE a MANUAL 06 Cobalt SS/SC with a brand new stage two centerforce clutch as of 3 mo ago tipically shift around 3500 rpm and 3rd and 4th miss around 3000 rpm also new tires rotors and brake pads and front of the car vibrates when I push tha brakes feels like around the pedals or somewhere in the front
My Jeep had the same problem with the brakes, it ended up being a bent wheel.

Surprised the stud did not snap. *I* would snap if that happened to me. Mess with me all you want. Mess up my car and we're going to have issues to work out.

Yep I'm back sry i thought other people worked as well but thanx for clearing that up unemployment must pay pretty well. Anyways thanks for the encouraging words while i was gone for less than 24 hours.

Back on topic i would assume that the tire center i took it to would have put them back on appropriately I've always worked on my own cars and usually do a decent job diagnosing issues but i really have no clue.

anything on the gears slipping

Gears slipping?

Tell you what, I know that we got on you, but turn the level of sarcasm down, then go back and edit your post. Use grammar and punctuation. Then when we can see that there's a question about gear slipping in that wall of text you'll get an answer.

And never assume that because you took it to a tire center that they torqued the calipers properly when they put them back on, or torqued the wheels right. Most tire centers have never had a torque wrench come through the door, and they are staffed by humans, humans that make mistakes.

We are trying to help you. You are not making that easy.

OK i put on the brakes and i will recheck the torque, however the tire shop put on the tires so i don't know about those.

Q: What could be causing my car to vibrate while braking?
A: ?

Q: Why would a brand new stage 2 clutch slip at 3500rpm in 3rd and 4th gear

Not directing any anger towards anyone. Where did the fun **** talking go i didn't know everyone was being serious. i had some good laughs, thought everyone was cool, so, to those offended by my sarcasm and possibly harsh response i apologize.

I would just like some answers to my questions, and by the things said to me, that i accepted, i figured that it was ok to talk a little ****. So thanx for the welcome and vary little help.

SOX-FAN thank you for trying to help i do really appreciate it

BMARTS1991 i am sorry for making you feel as if i was directing a hateful response to you even though u where one of the few that did not say anything hurtful towards my wife or family. And thank you for not being disrespectful

I do really need help with these issues ASAP, so please anything you can think of would be great. i am not leaving the forum and never coming back i am going to sleep and work twelve hours tomorrow. So if i do not immediately respond to the insults I'm sorry.

I will say one more time, my questions are as follows.

Q:What would cause my car to shake when braking after just having my tires, brakes, and rotors changed.
A:

Q:Why would a brand new stage 2 clutch slip at 3500rpm in 3rd and 4th gear
A?

Best I can guess for the brakes is something is already warped, or control arm bushings (will say CABs from now on). I started with base brakes and after a few hard stops would get violent shaking in my steering wheel, now I've got Brembos and haven't had an issue. My CABs are shot but it's just giving me a clunk when stopping and over bumps and not tracking strait all the time.

For the second question there are quite a few possibilities. Unfortunately the first one I'd say it the most likely, it's a bad clutch (never heard of that brand) and not made for the power even though it says stage 2. The best clutch for the LSJ in my opinion at least is the GMPP upgrade Clutch, it's only about $275 and can easily gold 300 wheel HP/TQ if not more, so more than most SS/SC's will run and I've seen cases where it's held closer to 400 wheel on a turbo. The second though is that the break in was done wrong and it's glazed over, this could either completely ruin the clutch depending on what it is or just needs to be driven the right way for a few hundred to few thousand miles to wear off the glazing.

These threads could be of help although the second one is only a common issue. This first one pertains to the stock clutch specifically.

This is very common issue and you might want to do this at regular intervals.
