New Guy/09 Turbocharged Cobalt
thanks for the welcome! I will post pictures when I get the car clean, the guy I bought it from lived in the sticks, so the car is very dirty and din't he care for the car at all, so I tend to restore it and give it all the love it needs.
Haha, I have been nice to the clutch, I'm learning quickly and I haven't grinded any gears, the car came with a stage 1 GM upgrade, still doing research on what that does, any info on what it does would be appreciated!
The color is "sport red tint coat", if anyone was curious.

What cold air intake do you guys recommend? I have been trying to look for some feedback on which one is best but I haven't been very successful.

K&n for more noise when u shift or AEM for a little less noise. Power wise they all do the around the same. You should get a tune for the air/fuel ratio. U can also just get a zzp intake tube for some gains with the least amount of noise, quite unless u do a high boost shift.
I can't imagine learning clutch on a small displacement turbo. Damn!
I learned on a 79 'vette, and perfected my junk on a 3/4 ton dump truck. The first stick I owned was a Datsun 310 - no power and easy to make clutch mistakes on without getting punished. Having a turbo coming on/off/on has to be a bitch for a learner!

As this is your first car and I hate to see Cobalts wrapped around trees. Please keep the GMStg1 for awhile before you start moding.
I was young and dumb once too (thought I knew it all and was an awesome driver), I'm glad my car only had 125hp at the crank to keep me from doing more dumb things than I already did. Learn to drive on a track take a few driving lessons at the track and respect the power these little 4cylinders have so you're not into your second car in 6months

Great advice ecaulk. I started with a cobalt LT so had no power drove that for 5 yrs then upgraded to my tc and im glad that happened because i would of needed a new car for sure if i would of gotten a SS first lol
Haha don't worry, I tend too completely restore my cobalt and help it stand the test of time, the only reason i'm looking for CAI is because the air filter was dirty, so i was just looking around too see if just getting a CAI would be a better option, the car already has plenty of power for me already. Also, if any one would tell me how to post pics, that would be quite helpful. lol
