New on here, just bought a 05 cobalt ss

Hello guys, I'm new to the forum. I need help finding a new transmission for my uncle's chevy cobalt Ss supercharger 2006. Vin # is 1g1a p14 p16 7755 762. I don't know anything about this cars. I need at least somebody to tell me what transmission is the one the car uses and if there is any variations or other options. I saw That many of the parts are compatible with saturn ion 2007. If you know any place I can call let me know please. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
