Yes any mods gonna start simple (air intake, exhaust) but I do want some type of forced induction. Supercharger kit seems cheaper than a turbo but not really sure . I guess that's why I'm here lol

welcome to the forum.

you can look into getting an m62 supercharger off the supercharged cobalts and going with that setup. its tough though because the base model motors are no where near as strong as the LSJ (Supercharged) or the LNF (Turbo) cobalts.

If you don't think there is any chance of you ever going forged in the bottom end I would go the supercharger route. Look for a used M62 on here or somewhere for sale as they are asking ridiculous amounts for new ones anymore. You could probably also source some of the other major components needed and combine it with a kit like the one ZZP sells. Plan on paying for or getting a custom tune as canned tunes seem to just barely get the car running.

If you think you might build the engine at some point, go with a turbocharger. The turbocharger can make much more power without robbing as much torque.

orrrrr just trade for an SS now since you can pick them up pretty cheap lol. if you want to go the supercharger route, do some searching around and see what set up you really want to go with and then go from there. theres tons of information on this forum and 99% of the stuff you have a question about is answered somewhere on here and if its not we will help you figure it out.

Tip: The search function on this site doesn't work the best. You will have better luck using google and including cobaltss.net for results specific to this site.
