Hey just bought myself a 2009 SS/TC w/ 25xxxkm on it, been lurking the forums for a long time, as a visitor trying to soak up all the info i could, former turbo S2k owner, sold that to go to university now decided i need something better than my current beater.

I will do as soon as i get the chance probably saturday. i'll need someones help to identify the charge pipe, i can't figure out which one (brand) it is for the life of me.

 

I can do that in all of 5 seconds if you grab your phone take a picture and upload it to photobucket.

Nice looking car, but one question. What hot side charge pipe is that? Almost looks like a ZZP that someone managed to install reversed, but I know it isn't that.

 

I haven't a clue, that was why I posed the question in the first place. The former owner had it installed at the dealership I bought it from. dealership might know I guess. What ever it is, it rubs on the hood. So I'll be ordering a new set of upper charge pipes asap

 

That is a weird hot side... Lol I would say custom, but then again the dealership installed it who knows lol

Updates are required! i talked to the cars previous owner,

the mod list is as follows:

bigger turbo (didn't specify which but said its a BW)
Custom Upper Charge pipe (Why he didn't just buy ZZP i dunno) SOON to be ordered.
ZZP lower charge pipe
ZZP Intercooler
ZZP 400 cell Catted Downpipe
Stock exhaust
HP Tuners tune at 20psi for 91octane
- he didn't give me a dyno sheet but claims it made 310whp/320wtq, will find out whether he was fluffing it up or not, next time i can get close to a dyno.

 

That sounds like the power you'd make on the stock turbo, I guarantee his definition of bigger turbo is GMS1.

 

The car was GMS1 before he got the HP tune and the other mods. however it is the the stock turbo i pulled the charge pipes off this morning to take a closer look.

now it needs a ZFR and better tune, if i want keep up to my buddies 03 Cobra. i walked on him ( stock w/ full bolt ons) last weekend but he blew that motor a couple days ago. he's got a bigger built motor going in this weekend. 600whp+.

Come to think of it, I can't clearly recall seeing a single Cobalt SS SC or TC up there...

 

There are a few, 2 yellow TC, mine, and 3 SC that I know of. my little cousin has a red ss/sc but she lives in Nanaimo going to school.
