New Guy Here

Hey everyone, my name is Ty. I've had my Cobalt for almost 2 years and have creeped around whenever I wanted to do some research or fixing on it. I know very little about cars in general and this is only my second car but it has got me really wanting to learn. I hope that people can be patient with me regarding that. I do not have any pics of it right now nor do I know exactly what, if any, mods have been done to it as I bought it used. I vaguely recall that it might have some aftermarket air intake and a pulley kit but I'm not sure. I am currently painting the rims and should have them finished up Monday so will get pics then. I am open to any and all tips and suggestions and can't wait to learn and get to know people.

Sorry this is later than I had hoped, things went a bit later than expected and was only just able to get a decent pic. I forgot to mention that this is a daily driver before and I am doing what I can to treat it right on Michigan roads. Also, any tips to figuring out what is stock and what isn't?

I am very happy with how the paint job turned out on the rims as well. It is my first time doing anything like it and if you get real close you can tell but they look great otherwise.

As I mentioned before, I am fairly new to cars so I'm actually not sure where the injectors are that you wanted to see. Also I assume the pulleys you spoke of are those in the second picture but I couldn't get a good angle due to the light.

Looks like a stock pulley, K&N intake.

The injectors are below the black cover that says ECOTEC Supercharged

Here is under that cover. Also thank you for the help and info. I was not very into cars before I got this one and I have just been trying to learn what I can with the time I have. There is quite a bit I want to do it to customize it but I want to do everything I can to properly take care of it also. So anything noticed that I should do different or better just let me know, I appreciate the input.

Under the hood looks relatively clean. That is usually a good sign

She looks clean, Ty! One advice, seeing you're from Michigan, is if you have to drive it in the winter, keep it clean, especially the underside to keep the rust at bay! Salt sucks ass!
The people on this forum are very helpful as far as maintenance advice goes. Google, YouTube, and decent repair manuals will teach you a LOT on car care and doing things yourself as well.
Welcome to the party!

Welcome to the forums! Sorry I'm a little late with the welcome, but just noticed this.

Also, quick question, where abouts in Michigan are you? I was just in Holland last week and I swear I drove past a clean stock SS that looked exactly like yours, minus the blue on the rims.

I am indeed in the Holland area. It was this past Monday that I got the back wheels painted and had the front done last week Wednesday. Sadly before and during that it stuck out like a sore thumb because I was part way through removing "ez peel". Previous owner used it to black out the rims and it was peeling pretty bad.

It is quite possible it was me. I work at RR over there and usually work the closing shift on the weekends.

Also, I wasn't sure where to put the this question so I will just drop it here. Being that I am such a noob to cars, where would be a good place to start learning/working on? Most of what I have in mind is cosmetic since I don't really know better yet, but I want to work on performance as well.

As in looking for what to do with the car, or how-to's on working on the car/cars in general?

What to do with the car. Once I have an idea of what to start working on, I can use the search here or Google or whatever. The problem is I just didn't grow up around cars, sadly that means I didn't take the greatest care of my last car from pure ignorance. I'm doing everything I can find to take care of this one and make it great
