Thanks for the link to the video, I like it, but not enough to hold out for a 2010!

I would rather have the boost gauge and pick up another Aeroforce and a dual pod pillar, to monitor KR and AFRs.

That dual Aeroforce setup looks great along the RPD.

One last question for you guys...

How's the comfort of the seats on longer trips? I've only been in one of the TCs for like 20-30 minutes.

I'm also gonna have to install heated seats. Damn you, GM. lol

There's a how to on here for that, so you're covered.
TC seats are great. One of my favorite mods. Really comfortable with nice bolsters.

I'm loving those dual interceptor set ups, but the RPD still looks a tad goofy to me. Hahaha.

I'm thankful for the how-to on the heated seats, there's no way I'll make it through the winter without them. Car will be kept outside.

Furthermore, in a classic case of "you snooze, you lose" all the Cobalts I had mentioned before have either sold, or didn't have the right diff. Which leaves me with this:
2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Coupe 2D - AutoZin.com - Used cars for sale

I love the color. I wish it had the white/black interior but I'm glad it doesn't have the red one. Just called the dealer to confirm whether it has the G85 package. Price is a bit up there though, no?

Thanks again.

I hate the white interior, gets way too dirty.

I'm old man trapped in a 20 year old body. How about that? Hahaha. But seriously, the red/black is awesome, just not on a blue car.

Lol I just clicked on the link. Yeah, the red interior wouldn't look right in a blue car.

BTW you can plug in that VIN# in the VIN decoder and get more info on the vehicle, like how much it cost new

Already went through the VIN decoder on a number of the 'Balts I've looked at.

Too bad it won't tell me about the diff. Hahaha!

I wouldn't worry about it having LSD too much.

Price is kind of steep for the miles, but well worth it. Car is very nice haha. I'm bias though.

Driven a good couple of them now, even a sedan. Still want a coupe, and I really like the cars themselves. Almost got that 2008 but they refused to come down on price so I had to leave it.

However, more forum exploration has got me scared over the infamous "porous block" scenario.. How likely is that to happen? Does this mean I need to avoid all 2008-2009s?

Thanks again.

Getting a 2010 will be your best choice for a number of reasons, porous block being just one of them. Downside is that obviously a 2010 will run you more than an 08 or 09 ;-)

What about that aluminum block treatment stuff?

In any case, the market around here is dead for these things. They're either beat, after an accident, or the mileage is too high. The wait continues. You'd think there be more of them in a huge city like Chicago, or at least in the surrounding areas. lol

See, my friend's prediction that with all the wrecks, these cars will soon be rare modern collectibles is turning true ;-)
