New from Kansas
Hey folks, new guy from Pittsburg KS here. Pitt State Gorilla turf... I'm 25 and go to Pitt State, been working on my BST Bachelor's degree. I'm also a ProCharger dealer through my families business.
Don't have a Cobalt SS, always been a been a fan of them. I have a 1 owner HHR Panel that's had 180K miles of hard love... My dad bought it new in 2007 and until last year he used it to haul all his tools for his Paintless Dent Repair business. I picked it for $1200 LOL with my Silverado SS I needed a cheap daily and this fit the bill. In 2009 we custom painted the Panel and put HHR SS front and rear bumpers on. It's gone through a few different sets of wheels, a set of 20's and 18's and pops wasn't real pleased with how long the wheels lasted. With the wonderful roads Kansas has to offer they didn't last very long. His last ditch effort to make a cool look was taking the factory steel wheels and bought some stainless Mooneye's wheel covers and tire stickers to make it look like a Bonneville speed wagon, but after a few good sized pot holes the covers just fell off. So after many many miles and shitty wheels, it looks like crap. I have some future ideas to make it look a better... Lower it, wheel vinitques 16" steel rallies, and maybe if I can find a couple surf boards to mount to the rack... and a M62 blower conversion would be nice! Passing power has much to be desired...
As for the Silverado SS I mentioned earlier, 2003 AWD Arrival Blue. With a custom grind cam, 42lb LS3 injectors, Circle D 3000 stall converter, and Pacesetter longtubes with a 3" single exhaust. Fastest ET so far is 14.10 at 94mph. Hope to be near 13.8's with the new tune. I bought this truck last year and I wish I had bought one sooner, absolutely the most fun vehicle I've ever owned. It takes corners very well for being a 5200lbs big girl, and acceleration leaves most Mustangs and Camaro's with their jaws in the floor. I race ATV motocross, so I need a truck to haul the race quad and other toys with... But I also wanted the performance of a Mustang or a Camaro... Well, Silverado SS was the answer!
Even though I'm the elephant in the room with an HHR, I'm glad to be apart of the page and hope to connect with many and learn a lot from the community
