Got some bad luck.
engine took a crap on me this last friday.
I took a friend for a ride since he's never been in my car. got on the freeway and started to get into it, around 6k rpm, white smoke started billowing out the back and I let off right away and coasted to a stop.
we thought it was a head gasket but we put an inspection camera in the cyliners and found a crack.

I'm just hoping that the diamond pistons, pauter rods, and the built head are still okay. if it's just the block, I'll be thrilled.

Keep the car in your thoughts!! lol

I would suggest a 2.1L or girdled gen 1 block for replacement

Had my block let go shortly after doing diamond pistons. They were unharmed.

Did you have the block machined for the pistons?

I just recently bought this car about 2 months ago, the previous owner did the build. I believe the pistons were for the stock bore size.

I know someone with gen 3 block 88mm sleeved to 86mm. Is there anything else I would need to put a gen 3 block in? Does everything transfer over from my stock block?
