New Member Check In

Hey y’all. New member here, but not “new” to cobalts. I own a White LS 2.2l L61 VVT, 5-Speed Manual coupe. I’ve owned it for about 4 years now. Currently it has a CAI, ZZP short tube header, 2.5” cat-less down-pipe to 2.5” exhaust. I have the cavi short throw but bushings are bad and I broke a little piece off the plastic connector piece that connects the cables. I have been doing quite a bit of research on supercharging. I have the m62 supercharge and a few parts to do so. I talked with a guy in my area about the build I want to do and he mentioned that I could possibly see 500 HP with the set up. I also have had the thought to turbocharge instead. I currently don’t have any pictures on my new phone but I will dig some up and post them in my next thread. I’m pumped to start this build and I will be doing a build thread on it. It will be a while before I start as I’m currently going through the end of my deployment. I look forward to chatting with y’all and hearing your guys’ input, advice and opinions.

Welcome!

If you would like to fix the shifter OTTP offer a shifter for 2.2 Cobalt. They also have the cable clamp and base bushings for the shifter as well.

Yes it pretty easy to put the M62 on the 2.2, but the M62 will not get you 500 hp. With the 2.2 you will be lucky if it will hold over 250 hp without blowing up. ZZP offers a full supercharge kit and full turbo kits for the 2.2 as well. The M62 on the SS fully modded out last i had checked was maxed out around 315 whp, I think maybe i had seen someone post numbers around 330, but I don't know know who it was.
