What year and model cobalt do you have? What are your HP goals? How much are you trying to spend $$$? What does it have already? (If it isn't stock)

^^ this
It all depends what Cobalt you have, what power goals you have and how much money you are willing to spend to realize your project. Bolts-on? Turbo kit? Block? Are you looking to drag race or drive it on a road course? For heavy mods, usually the places where everybody goes are either ZZP or Performance Autowerks

So it's a 2010 cobalt base model no special trim and everything is manual on the inside. I'm looking for more road track racing but I don't have a ton of money ATM but I have things I could sell and probably get close to 6,000$ But I'd like to get it running first so I need an entire engine and I'm pretty sure the guy I bought it from has the factory turbo, besides that I'm looking at things that are still legal on the road, (or at least not easy to be caught with) but I want to be able to perform well on the track

And it is stock and then missing quite a bit

Since it's a base and needs a motor look for 06-07 LE5 ecotec engine (with the oil cooler) this is the 2.4 that can hold about 400 HP in stock form. That's a direct plug and play swap with the 09-10's.

Wait is this a 2.2L Ecotec base model 2010 or is this a 2.0 LNF Turbo model 2010? Big difference there.

He mentioned the previous owner still having the "factory turbo".

I assumed that meant who he bought it from has the LNF and he bought a LAP.

I'm pretty sure it's the LNF 2.0 turbo but I'm not 100% positive I haven't gotten the papers for it yet

You said everything in side was manual so it has to be a base then, or does it have power windows and locks?
