New member new Cobalt SS owner

Been looking for a Cobalt SS for about 3 months ever since my VW diesel was bought back due to the diesel scandal. To you cobalt owners the cobalt might not all be that much of a rarity. But to me it is one of those rarity cars that people just don't consider to be a fast car. Hince why I am interested in this car. I also a Isuzu Vehicross. Anyways I found a 2010 cobalt ss with only 28,300 miles on it. Only thing it didn't have was the LSD trans or high rise spoiler. Rims were powder coated silver to match the car. New 255/35R18 tires. Downpipe, K&N SRI and HP tune. Will be a weekend car but my 16 year old daughter drove it home and loves it. I imagine I will have to see what type of aftermarket stuff it has or needs.

I know from what I read on the cobalt forum that some people had issues. But from what have seen is that the tires don't stick much past the rim. Tires grip really well, maybe to well.

No rubbing? I have 225's and the ride quality sucks especially on bumpy roads. I may try a 245.

Welcome, and congrats on your 2010 SS!
Keep it away from your daughter until she has a bit more experience
I can't get my (23yo) daughter to drive mine. "Your car scares me dad".

Congrats, these cars can be a lot of fun and pretty reliable provided you don't drive them hard all the time. They are quite capable. 255's are about the biggest you can get without getting crazy on pulling fenders and such. Like colodude I'm also old, just not quite as seasoned as he is.
