Hi Folks, great forum here! I live in NS Canada. I own a 08 G5 GT Coupe in competition yellow. I was wondering if anybody knew if you can put an SS backend on a G5 backend? I'm assuming everything would work. Obviously I'd need the trunk for the SS as well as the different bumper - and the new lights, but was just wondering if anybody's done it and if it's doable if I buy the SS rear bumper and the SS trunk lid.

Welcome, I know people have put the g5 rear on ls and lt cars. so it should work both ways. Of course you have to change the lighting and do the wiring for the lighting.

 

Thanks for the reply! Good to know, yeah i've seen some people put the G5 backend on a cobalt, but not a cobalt backend on a G5 haha.

 

Bumpers are swappable, sedan = sedan and coupe = coupe. The trunk is the part that takes the additional wiring.

Welcome! Should work out just fine. Many people think the g5 rear looks better than the cobalt.
