Exclamation New Member w/ a question

Hi everyone, my name is Destiny. I bought an 07 ss sc a few months ago. I was just wondering is everyone is running Mobil1 oil as recommended? I was running Mobil1, but recently bought Castor Edge and it seems to be burning fast.

Most people run the Mobil 1 5w30 that it calls for, but I know a few people have used other oils. I run Castrol Edge in my wife's Freestyle, and never had an issue with it, but it seems odd that after switching oil brand you are losing more. Are you sure you don't have any leaks anywhere that could explain oil loss?

I had someone tell me to use the durablend since I couldn't tell what was in mine when I got it, it looked like 3 year old black coffee it was so nasty. I wanted to stick with the mob1 in it since that's the viscosity they were designed with. But would be interesting to see what others are using
