Hello everyone.

Just picked up a new to me 2008 Cobalt SS/TC Sport Red Tintcoat a few days ago and have a lot to learn coming from a muscle car background. I needed something more economical and something that can handle snow a little better and this car seems to fit the bill so far. I traded in my 2001 Camaro SS a4 for the Cobalt and before that I had a 2005 GTO m6. This is my first fwd car as well as my first forced induction car. So far its been different but fun, it is a nice step up in the handling department and it's nice to be in a manual again.

Actually yeah I live in the suburbs near Youngstown, that is Mill Creek Park.

 

I'd be willing to bet with just a tune your new ss would be faster than your old ss.

Looks good! Nice to see another SS somewhat close to Pittsburgh.

 

Eh we'll see. The Camaro ran a 13.25 with just an intake, lid, and catback so I doubt it especially at Quaker City Raceway. I actually would like to switch it up a little with this car and try autocross or track racing.

Deff want to hit up Powell Raceshop if you get into AutoX. He's the man when it comes to suspension.

 

With just a tune and exhaust I ran a 13.10 at Quaker.

 

Very impressive. Only mods I plan on at the moment are mostly cosmetic like headlights and maybe a tune, intake and exhaust. As far as exhaust goes I want something affordable but keep it on the quiet side, any recommendations?

 

As of now i have my stock exhaust on. Dont know of one that has a good quiet sound. Muffler delete sounds ok, and not loud at all really. Hit me up if ur interested in a tune, i have hptuners.

For exhaust just get a catless downpipe. You'll see the most gains with it and a tune. If that's not loud enough do a muffler delete.
