Hi everyone,
I used to have a 2005 SS/SC with full bolt ons, ported blower, 2.6 pulley, meth injection, etc. That was a longgggg time ago. That car got totaled by a drunk driver while it was parked on the side of the road back in 2010. Could not remember my SN for the life of me and apparently wasn't using the only email address I use now so here I am with a new SN!
Anyways, my current daily driver is a 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero. In 2006-2009 Saab slapped a V6 turbo in the Aeros so it makes for a nice DD through a 6 speed manual. I picked this up about a month ago now and already have a drop in filter and tune. Got dynoed and made 261whp and 335wtrq on a nice 93 degree summer day. It's a lower reading dyno as my full bolt on and tune GTO only made 363/363 on that same dyno. Intercooler and catless downpipe/ midpipe are sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. I first have to wait for a datalogger to arrive so I can be remote tuned. Problem with this car is there aren't a lot of them (V6 turbo motors) so modding is difficult. I'm going to be one of a handful of bolt on 9-3 Aeros. Shooting to make ~290whp and ~370wtrq with the bolt ons and am considering porting my stock turbo to add a bigger wheel and make ~360whp and ~450wtrq. One thing at a time though.
Why am I here you ask? Well I want some dedicated summer wheels mainly so I can just run a really sticky tire. The 9-3 has the same bolt pattern, thread pitch, etc as the Cobalt SS. As most of you know, our 5x110 bolt pattern is very rare so we don't have a lot of options. I'm just looking to scoop a pair of inexpensive factory SS/TC wheels (or aftermarket for the right price).
Nice to meet everyone (again)! If you're interested I can post up some pics/ dynos of the car; just let me know.
