So I purchased this vehicle to be more "economical" as my '10 Camaro SS and my 97 Camaro SS are not that friendly at the gas pumps. I fell in love with the Cobalt SS back in 05 at the Chicago Auto Show and always wanted one because of the drivetrain that goes in them. So I happened to be in the market recently and found one locally at a dealership in the laser blue color without the spoiler (i'm not a teenager so no spoiler was a must) I have to be honest, I have owned and driven alot of different cars, this machine has me excited to get up in the morning and drive to work. I even take the back roads sometimes just to add to the excitement! I cannot believe the comfort, the handling and the power this motor puts out for an 8 year old car! the gear box is tight, the clutch is tight, the steering is tight, and the supercharger screams (it came with an Intek CAI), and I get 28+mpg depending on how many times I lay into it :-) So anyways, I have been searching this forum because I was interested in the stage one kit, but I cannot find anything pertaining to it for the supercharged version of the LSJ. What I want to know is if the computer has got to be flashed by a GM dealer? Or can you purchase a new computer with the right flash and if so what company does that? if there is a link somebody can post to direct me to the right place I would very much appreciate it!
Welcome to the forum. Some one from the ss/sc side of CSS will have the stage kit info you looking for. You could try http://www.crateenginedepot.com/Coba...ries-C690.aspx
^^^what everyone else said. and ill add a bit, a gm stage 1 kit isnt really alot to add. you can piece together a stage kit by simply buying a small size pulley and pulley hub, 60# injectors, 1 step colder spark plugs will be needed, and a smaller belt. or you can buy the whole kit from ottp or zzp. either way you do it id recommend getting HP tuned to go with it. but thats just my two cents. welcome!!
and remember, adding those parts will also mean youll need cooling mods. such as a front mount heat exchanger, a dual pass end plate, and/or an opt b kit. if you are strapped for cash, as most of us are, get everything part by part. either slightly used or brand new. If I were you, id msg josh@ottp on here or google ott performance and email josh that way. he is ALWAYS making deals on his parts. zpp has good stuff no doubt but they are mostly in the turbo game. but theyre damn good at it too.

2010 SS is all stock, my wife drives that more, the 97 SS has to many to list but I will say it has a 355 rebuilt short block in it. My father works for GM so I feel obligated to buy GM :-)

I just picked the car up last week, I haven't taken pictures of it yet. Once I figure this website out I'll get some pictures up.

I have to request more info on the 355 camaro dont leave us hanging just the important stuff like intake heads cam rear end
As stated above look into the zzp stage kits on their website they are complete and straight forward to install and will really liven the car up and keep it reliable

you know I never paid attention to it....???? I was following my buddy home from work the other day and he told me that my right head light was angled up more than the left so it looked like I had one head light on bright and the other on low beam.
