I've been into autocross in the past but sold the car and picked up a boat and truck for the family. Recently a good friend bought a 1st gen Neon with a 2nd gen engine swap for autocross and my hunt was on to find an inexpensive car that would be close in category. Once I narrowed it to a Cobalt SS, I found an auction on eBay for an 09 Cobalt SS with damaged suspension that had been sitting for over a year. Won the auction, bought a donor car that had working stock suspension and a bad engine, and it's coming along. Updates on Instagram, Project.Cobalt.SS

Nice so what all have you replaced so far? I see you got started with the rear suspension and some front end stuff. Should be a fun project once completed. I'm currently restoring my 07 G5 Gt and doing a supercharger on it plus I've done full upgrade suspension with zzp, powell and ottp parts.

 

First step was to get it rolling again. Arms, axels, and wheels were bent. Headlights are going in and the ZZP intercooler is mounted. Waiting on piping to arrive tomorrow to finish the charge pipe and intercooler install. ZZP ECU is in. Eibach springs and sway bars are going on, from a score at a junk yard! New Voxx Capo wheels and Nitto Invo tires are being shipped.
