Soon to own, SS/TC

Hi everyone. I have been lurking the forum here for a little while. Not quite new to Cobalt SS cars but I am with the details. I am looking for a nice LNF. Currently have a '03 Cavalier LS Sport 5spd for a DD, and an '07 F150 Lariat Supercrew 4wd for hauling/winter traction/to baby up. Truck is highly modified, car is more subtle like tint, 225/50-16 Coopers, Vibrant cat-back, and Amsoil fluids throughout, Z24 trunk/taillight swap.

Always been a Ford truck guy, but a GM performance car guy. I'm getting bored of the cheap cavalier, NadaGuide value on it is current;y $4600 and my bud I work with might be moving further away so if he does he might buy my Cavalier for $4,000 so that will help me get into a LNF sooner.

I have another friend who has a mint condition yellow 2005 SS/SC stage 2 which is a taunting tease to experience and he won't sell me. He has done minor improvements to it with my helping hand, ZZP CAI w/ K&N filter, 5% 3M Color Stable tint, some Plasti-dip accenting, and just recently Powerstop rotors & ceramic pads, painted the brake calipers & brackets yellow, and put on a set of Cooper Zeon ZPT tires OE size.

Here it is when it was tint only.

And most recently.

So here I am looking to get one soon. Been looking in the classifieds here, on Craigslist, and cars.com/autotrader. I have an idea of what I can spend so time will tell when the right one shows up. I don't want to 'settle' with a SS/SC, but at the same time that won't be a bad thing. I just want to be a little more different than my friend and not quite copy his style. I considered an SRT4, but I don't want a problematic Dodge product. Looking forward to the stay and learning experience!

A couple questions my search has came up short on,

Are the Recaro seats optional in all Cobalts? Were they only produced in 2006/2010 models?

Are all 2010 radios black?

Is the RPD option rare? I have not seen one for sale with it.

Also last week I went up to Montour Falls NY to check this car out, it's an '06 SS/SC model that was majorly overhauled. Swapped to turbo, cammed, Hahn & ZZP all over it, crazy fast car. Not a suitable daily cruiser in my opinion but it sure was clean! Was this anybody's car on here? Here is the for sale ad.

But the LNF came with arguably nicer seats although not labeled Recaro.

Thanks. So the TC came with half leather half sport cloth? I was looking at this, the interior is what catches me. Looks a bit plain. I love the two tone SC style, but want the newer style car.

That's the black on black interior, the black on red looks amazing but only fits with certain colors, I wouldn't even want the black and grey/white because it gets dirty so easily.

dont' see the big deal with the RPD, IMO a lot of ppl have problems. Better off with a PLX gauge or aeroforce for the money

Never had any problems with my RPD. I'm also running dual interceptors.

I don't see it as a requirement, it would be cool to have one though, a functional one that is. Also would indicate a high optioned car. Another thing I have picked up on is 2008 you get a standard radio auxiliary jack, 2009/2010 you get that plus a USB port on the left side, and 2010 the radio and climate panels are black?
