Tubro ?

Hello everyone I have a ? Someone in sure can ask. My cobalt has 130k miles. It's a 06 2.0lsj ss/sc. I been thinking about converting it to tubro. I wanted someone's opinion if it be a waste of money cause the miles on if or if it would be fine with 130k miles. Or if I do it what else should I look into so my engine don't go? The car I just got is competely stock besides the zzp cai I put on it. Let me know u can
Comment or pm me thanks

Mod your supercharger or sell and buy a turbo'd car. Miles are way too high unless it's not the original engine.

Replace the timing components and Run a reasonable boost level.

my suggestion is go test drive an SS/TC and then make a choice. Theres alot more to an SS/TC then just the turbocharger. You might like the feel of it

I'm assuming he just got the car so he probably isn't in a position to get another. I'd say to freshen up the motor or get a low mileage stock block and build it or get one from ZZP. Your best best may be to just go down a size with the pulley and a tune. I don't know what your budget is but that will determine what you can do.

I wouldn't put that much money into a car with that mileage.

That can be done for like $5-600 bucks new, including a tune. No way you could blow up a LSJ on the m62, assuming the tune isn't ****.
Turbo, you're gonna be in the 4 digits no matter what.

I figured staging it be cheeper route. I just got the car yes its a super cleam car 10/10 alll around. My buggett is fairly good I wasnt planing on buying nothing for it till its paied off. That way its all fresh and Im not adding new parts ontop of old and I could get it all at once. Thanks for everyones help ill pry end up staging it and selling it to get one with lower miles eventually.

Personally, I just broke 140k and have absolutely no concern with throwing a little cash at mine. Nothing overly pricey but converting it to e, port/polished m62 on a 2.8 and camming up. Bolt ons. The basics. Stick with the basics and maintain it properly and your lsj will live to see 200k

Yeah I thought about if my ljs lasted to 200k giving it a fresh rebuild and going tubro. And for now just staging it. Just depends on money and how my job goes. I work in the oilfield so it can crash any minute

Slow down read his post again
You CAN blow up your motor with an M 62 just probably not with a stage kit unless your tuner is an idiot
4k for a turbo kit

Dafuq are you talking about? This has been happening a few times lately. I dunno if I suck at typing or what, but you gotta read the whole thread to understand what people are saying.

Just mod the SC a tiny bit and be happy for now. Does 94 mean you're born in 94? A staged sc balt is a nice car to start off with.
