Wth is up with my tranny?

I need help! I'm new to the forums, bought a 06 ss/sc with 90k, it's been about two weeks since I got it.. when I firstry test drove it it was perfect! Engine and sc are strong! Tranny would shift pretty good considering the clutch was starting to go (barely)... but just recently it's getting harder and harder to put into gear.... ESPECIALLY REVERSE!....is it the clutch? The tranny ? The syncros? The master/slave cyl? Anyone else have this problem?

Might try changing the transmission fluid.

Most likely the the clutch isn't fully disengaging. I would start with changing the fluid in the master and slave.

My guess is either shifter adjustment or shifter cables. Find good shifter adjustment directions below, and while you are in there pop each cable off and confirm it isnt binding.

I recently removed the transmission in my 2005 cobalt Ss supercharged to replace the clutch this meant removing the fuse box and ecm. I now am not able to start the car. Battery has 12.6 volts cranks, have fuel, have spark. Is there something I have to do to reset everything or anything I need to do?

Pull the fuse box and check all the tabs on the bottom.

Also Im not too familiar with the LSJ cobalts but I believe there is a ground somewhere that bolts to the tranny

Did you pull the fuse box and look at all the tabs on the bottom? Make sure none are bent.

Betting it's stretched cables or adjusted incorrectly.
