So mine finally came in last week on Thursday and I put it in Saturday. This system is LOUD! Very nice feature to have a baffle to put in when I go to work... I really like the throaty sound it's got when passing through the 2000-4500 rpm range.

The only thing that is still a mystery to me is I have a really nasty whistle at idle. This is exagerated when the silencer is in and really irratates me. The 3 flanges are snug and I don't think it's a leak... Has anyone else experienced this sound? It's very noticable when I open the driver side door at idle as it reflects from the door panel right at the driver. When I shut the car off I hear a couple more "revolutions" of this squeaking noise... it's more of a chirp.

I'm thinking maybe the gaskets that came with the kit are to blame? What the best material to use for a gasket?

 

you could go buy new gaskets from a pepboys or an autozone and those will work fine...

my exhaust is rattling i was wondering where u guys think it is rattling from thanks also would it be better tobut some hot spark plugs in

 

i would bet that the rattling is coming from the hanger from the middle piece. on mine the hanger was touching the frame so i slipped a rubber hose over the hanger and secured it...no rattle!

 

so i got my exhaust today and it was pretty banged up lol. quality looks real good and i cant wait to get these babies in lol.









im probably just going to put it away and install it when its warm because snow is about to come and i think im going to put the cobalt away lol. hope you enjoy the pics guys Thanks to NGA!!

on a 2.4L its crazy loud, i love it gunna ditch the res and the cat that should make it hell of alot louder.

 

where else could i buy this exhaust... since they are all out of them?

 

So I finally got back in town had my system sitting in the dinning room and put it on 2 days later...I must say it is hella loud and I am pleased with it. Only thing is when I get on the gas it sounds raspy, Anyone else have this problem or is this how it is supposed to be? Otherwise I love it!!!! Thanks NGA!!!
