Nitrous with Meth

OK guys, I have been running around all morning tring to find an anwser on this.

I have AIS stage 1 meth. I would like to run Nitrous too. I know on the Ecotech motors its best to run a wet shot, but the question is, with meth do i have to do a wet shot, I mean Meth, Nitrous and fuel is alot of stuff going into the motor all at once. So how would this work, also what about tuning. I dont plan on getting a 5 or 10 Lb bottle, Like maybe 1 or 2 motorcycle bottles, I want to beable to spray when i want. not on a WOT swich.. This is only for a little bit of help with big V8.

I have 09 cobalt ss turbo with all bolt on besides downpipe, meth and cry02.

Thanks

Yes, you would need a wet shot IMO. But I would just run the N2O and not the meth when you want to run the N2O. Then run the meth daily.

what size shot are you planning on blowing it up...err... I mean running it with?

If you're spending all that money on the motor, I would just do a bigger turbo setup and not chance the Nitrous. Just my .02. OR, skip the motor parts and do a turbo and keep it under 450whp. Will still be way more power then your idea and still be safe.

IMHO, kinda backwards. You can make it last pretty long with a aftermarket turbo setup and over 400whp and it will be a lot safer then the Nitrous setup. Plus with Nitrous you have to keep refilling it to have fun. It doesn't seem like a pain now but once you get into it and want to keep having the fun of the extra power, it does become a hassle unfortunately!

Just my .02. But I would get a 5557 or S252 turbo setup on the car and enjoy it for awhile. Then when you finally toast it, build it and go for more power still (which will be a LOT easier at that point too).

Just go nitrous. you wont blow your **** up as long as you set it up right. Nos is the cheapest way to gain HP and perfectly safe if you do it right. Just dont get in an accident with meth and nos in the car as both are really flammable

add the nitro boost to your meth/water shot. snow products sells it by the bottle. mix it at a low ratio and you can really gain some power without any danger at all to the motor.

Yes, you want to do a wet shot. A dry shot would be very hard to tune and less reliable/consistent. You should be fine spraying both nitrous and meth. I am actually planning on doing the same to my next car. What you need to do is have a proper nitrous setup. YOU NEED A WINDOW SWITCH. There is no point in not having one. You are just asking for problems without one. Check this product out. You will never have a nitrous problem with it. (Nitrous Express EFI Nitrous Kit / Progressive Controller / Acces. **FULL REVIEW/DIY**) I would also recommend a conventional kit with a 5-10lb bottle. It would be a real pain to try to make sure you have the right bottle pressure and make sure that pressure doesn't drop throughout the time you spray. That is something you need to consider. With a smaller bottle, pressures can fluctuate faster. A good company to look into is Dynotune. They make good products at reasonable prices.

This is how I would recommend you do a proper setup.

1) Use Nitrous Express Controller
2) Have an electronic boost controller. You can set different max boost pressures (ie one setting without meth, one with meth enabled, one with meth and nitrous enabled.) You can do all that using switches the NX controller and meth controller have inputs and outputs to setup such a system.

I can spell it out better for you better if you're interested in doing something like this, but at the end of the day you are going to spend the same amount of money to just have a turbo upgrade and push more boost + no bottles to fill. I am eventually going to do this because I don't want to daily a 700hp beast!

The progressive controller really is a good idea! Highly recommend that as well!

You can use the meth as the wet side for nitrous. People are doing it, just not posting about it. Talk to any of the nitrous companies and see what they say. With the meth set up right, you shouldn't have to pull timing on the spray.
