Nitrous Wiring: 923439 Me: 1
And that 1 victory is all I needed
I FINALLY got my nitrous kit up and running! I ordered a Zex window switch to replace my MSD Window switch, wired it up (only took 1 shot) and bam, a working nitrous setup. Nitrous turns this 2.2 into a completely different car. It accelerates so smoothly!
Heres my issue though, this Zex bottle heater SUCKS! I can't seem to get my bottle pressure over 800psi, is anyone else using the Zex bottle heater experiencing this? I wanna feel the real power of a 75 shot! It seems like this heater will turn on for 2 min. max and then shut itself off!
Gimmie some advice, cuz if not I'm goin with a dynotune bottle heater that turns on/off according to bottle pressure and not temperature.

no you most definitely need one, especially if you want shots at 900-1000psi like I do.
My bottle pressure was at 800psi BEFORE spraying, by the time I got out the car my bottle pressure was at like 600psi or something crazy like that.
I definitely can't have that...

well the ass dyno says hell yes to a definite increase in power.
I was expecting a more violent engage but it actually accelerates pretty smoothly. Even on crappy bottle pressure like this its night and day between no spray and spray.
I love it but I can't wait to spray on 1000psi...

yeah so I just said screw it and bought a bottle heater from Dyno Tune Nitrous that monitors pressure instead of temp.
I got my bottle filled and turned the heater on for a minute, didn't raise above 600psi so I'm definitely done with this one.
Due to my experiences I would definitely NOT recommend a temperature monitoring bottle heater. Having the temp stay the same regardless of amount of nitrous in the bottle is no good anyway...

OK, not having ever used nitrous, and most likely never going to use the juice, I have one question about this HP in a bottle substance. How much does a bottle refill cost? Secondly, how fast do you run through a bottle, or number of times you can spray per refill? It just seems this is another cost compounded on top of gas cost. Anyways, I was just curious and think it is pretty cool, but never would put it on my vehicle.

to fill a 10lbs. bottle it cost me $50. how long it lasts all depends on how long you use it and the type of shot you run.
for a 75 shot of nitrous, its good for about 10-15 passes down the 1/4 mile but thats also at full acceleration from 0-100mph or so. on the street you run in much shorter spurts so it lasts alot longer.
i love it, makes my car an econobox when i need it and a sleeper when i wanna run

they only put 10 lbs in there...
I'm running a .40 nitrous jet and .21 fuel jet
I can't even get the pressure up with 10lbs so I'll have to wait on packin in the nitrous. If Dynotune Nitrous ever ships out my bottle heater I'll be in business.
