Noob Question about NOS and Meth

Ok I'm a noob when it comes to Nos. Im thinking about either getting Meth or Nos. I see that Nos is pretty expensive compared to Meth. Do they do about the same thing performance wise and cooling? Don't know if there has already been a thread about this or not. Tried searching it. or is there a website that explains the difference between the 2? I also want to be safe ie. not blow my engine. No money to replace it.

defiantly go with meth. Once you use Nitrous its gone the meth on the other is on all the time until you run out which takes a bit of time. Overall meth is better for the cooling that you need when you drop the pully.

Its like Kleenex. Everyone knows what you're talking about and it may be a brand name, but nobody is going to say "tissues."

When I do N2O it feels good for a little while but Meth lasts so much longer and I get a lot more done when I'm tweaking...

Oh

You mean in cars.

Nevermind.

Nitrous will give you gains right away. You have to tune for the Meth. Meth allows you to advance your engine's timing to give you more power while nitrous introduces more oxygen to give you more power. If you want cooling, go with the meth. You just have to be careful not to let the meth in your tank run dry.

Hmm so if I go with a 50 shot of n20 no tune would be needed? Thats what I read on here somewhere. I will have it professionally installed of course. But I just want it not to be to hard on the motor.

I would think a 50 shot would be just fine. Make sure that it is a wet shot though.

no it depends on what you set your activation at, similar to N2o you can adjust it to run with a full throttle or you can also adjust it to run per boost level...and you DO NOT need a tune to run meth..you do get a bigger gain if you tune for it but its not required..good thing about tuning for it=bigger meth gains/power....bad thing bout tuning for it=if you run it dry you'll be in limp mode all the way home where as if you don't tune for it and you accidentally run it dry you will be ok

meth = better cooling
nos=better immediate gains
meth=better longer gains

I have a Charger... There is no meth kits for my car so I dont know much about it.... so I will say NOS

i would vote nitrous, you get get more power from it, not as much cooling but its just as safe as meth and easier to use. just read up on it before you jump in.

yea i've done alot of research on both of these as i will be running both soon....but meth first it helps keep your engine stable an even more so when you inject the nitrous it helps stabilize the detonation...if you have any questions you can pm me or if you want to talk to a professional AIS is who i've been talkin to ...my kit will be bought from them soon

Lol, you don't need a vehicle specific kit. Almost any meth can be installed on almost any vehicle.
