well i'm a little baffled. my son and i were testing out the 75 shot tonight behind the local theater. we stop for a few sodas about 5 min later. I go in and when i came out he told me the car started revving on it's own. it couldn't have gotten to bad or the cop parked next to us would have most certainly given us ****. they don't like black guys driving rice cars. i can drive a beat down impala on 22"s without a second glance but my little black coby gets the eyeball everytime.....end rant.

so back on topic. why in the hell would the car do that? is this some kind of computer systems self check or what?

also since i got my ss/sc header i've been throwing a cel, never got it cleared. after i ran the car on the bottle with the 75 shot the damned cel just went away. yep it just decided to stop hassling me am i nuts or does this car have a hard on for driving me insane?

 

my brothers car idles at like 2grand and very slowly drops to normal if it even does. ive been asking around and nobody could come up with an answer other than "pirates" so maybe "ghost" is ur answer lol

 

well that damned ghost don't pay for my fuel so he needs to cut it out.....lol

 

haha yea i kno what you mean, my bro gets like 24mpg at best and i get like 30ish... did u try to take it to the dealer??? we need help from others for info.

 

my car also randomly revs to about 2-2.5k once in a while. i just figured it had something to do with my exhaust or intake but since none of us have the same set-ups then that idea is out.

dealer won't even look at my car. it's an '06 on it's second engine. first one blow up. after they replaced it under warranty they politely told me to kiss off.

 

Vacuum leak somewhere possibly? I dunno man. Thats usually the first thing I think of when someone talks about a car revving on its own.
