I have the distinct pleasure of driving to Winnipeg and back on Saturday with my father to retrieve his stolen Silverado. I can't flipping wait.

He got it stolen when he was up there a couple months ago at a trade show. Kind of a funny story.

Someone breaks into it on a wednesday night up there and eff's up the steering column and whatnot. About 1000 bucks worth of damage. He gets the truck back thursday night at around 9pm from a dealership that fixed it. He goes out to get his phone charger at 1030pm and the damn thing was long gone. They threw all his crap out of the car and just took the truck. This was about 2 months ago, and they found it last week. He's pissed because he wanted to get a new 07 silverado with the insurance money, and now I have to go up there with him in my mom's new 08 sonata

^^exactly. We thought they needed it for parts or something and were hoping the thing would just dissappear. Since it got stolen he's been driving this hideous white with gray plastic Kia Rio rental. Holy crap that is the biggest POS ever made.

no crap? after a couple months id think they would of already paid for the truck :/

You guys think since the 2007 SS SC is getting old now it could be had for under $20k new? I found some, but the dealers love saying...WEll its NEW but we can do 100 over invoice to get rid of it..im like...@#%$#@$ NEW? yes but its been on the lot for a year and the turbo's are coming...bitches....

the insurance company covered the cost of the rental but said they wouldn't pay him for the truck until 90 days had passed. He came up a month short.

Just got back from Winnipeg. What a ******* joy that was. We got to Fargo in very good time. After that the mayhem ensued.

1. Saw a dodge challenger test mule in full camo driving on the other side of the road between Fargo and the border. I scared my dad shitless when I jumped up and fired off a good "HOLY ****!!"
2. Right after the challenger the rain started. Then it came down harder. Then it turned into rain and snow. Then it turned into the biggest damn snowflakes I've ever seen. At least 20 cars in the ditch.
3. Run out of washer fluid between the border and Winnipeg. If you've ever made that drive, there isn't **** in between.
4. Get my dad's truck back, get 5 minutes away from the dealership and a plow kicks up a rock that spiderwebs the windshield on the truck with about an 18 inch diameter.
5. More rain
6. More snow
7. Heavy ass snow
It was finally nice between Alexandria and the twin cities coming back. 18.5 of the longest hours i've ever endured.

This challenger has been spotted before up there. Definitely a cold weather tester. Check out the date of the first post on this thread:

AH i just test drove the SS i want! all the options and i may be able to work them down to the price i want. red, low spoiler, g85 and heated seats! I did notice when i closed the door that the sunroof moved. these do have weak sunroofs man. Is there anything I should check on it before I get real serious into buying it? like sunroof leaking, or anything of that sort?

Any car with a sunroof has the potential of having leak problems...I guess it’s just the luck of the draw/ not buying a Monday or Friday car
