i got my great "welcome back to minnesota" last night. sucked goin from a low of 40 to this crap today to top it off i'm frozen out of my car and was late to work cuz i still can't get in...

just thought i'd rant a lil. how are things for everyone else?

It was near 40 here the last couple days too. Everything melted, froze yesterday, tried to go to the store, got three blocks, said **** it, turned around and stayed home. The roads were terrible.

It's. *******. Cold. Out.

 

pffft screw u guys the roads were fine here its just -10 :S so since i could drive i went to work....@#$@# should of eworked.

 

Pffft. You try driving on roads that haven't been salted or sanded for days after the temp drops from 40° to 30° in an hour. I don't care about the roads, but it's the other idiots that don't know how to drive that worry me.

 

lol its the same here..theres no salt or sand..just icy roads its soooo shitty!! hahah but they are plowed. I actually left for work early to drive before the idiots came out! I should leave work early too. how does the TC handle in winter? do you guys have some sort of stability control? With mine on i cant get the thing sideways it auto corrects like crazy awesome. when its off....its like WRC racing ms3 handles great but it would be nice to have awd.

 

It has stability control. It will not spin even with the e-brake. It will spin maybe 45° and then just stop dead. It is also very fun if I turn it off. The thing pulls really hard to the right if the tires spin in the snow. First time I noticed that but it was at a light on a slight hill.

 

jeff - yeah the HD works on my work laptop...looks real good too.

Hmm you got a lsd? they help a bunch in winter...

 

I do have LSD. I'm thinking it was just the light. I was spinning my tires in a flat parking lot and had no problems like that.

 

yeah the snow could of just slide u to one side...happens to me sometimes too.

 

Well at 4am on HWY 10 this morning it was icy as hell...I was going along (about 50mph) and must have hit some big chuck of snow cuz all of a sudden my car started drifting like crazy swinging way right, then left, then right and then almost spun around....but I didn't panic and recovered without even getting hyped up. For some reason I thought it was kinda fun but the car behind me was all freaked out, haha.

So the HD works well...thats nice, to bad I cant check it out

hahah nice camera man narrating. well...we have large parking lots but yes something along those lines. you gonna be up here for a while? we should hit up brag game rights where i freelance for some gaming and then drinking.

 

I won't be up there till 7 or 8 probably. The restaurant doesn't close until 1AM, so I can't really start until 12:30 or so. I'll be leaving early tomorrow morning but I'll be free all night tonight.

 

dang your going to get here right before my bed time...I usually give wednesday's to my "grizzlies" night out...maybe I could move it to tonight if you are down? we go out at 9pm to grizzlies for 1/2 off apps and drinks. Before that we are usually gaming at BGR. then i proceed to pass out by 11pm :P

 

I'm up for whatever. It will be better than sitting in my hotel room. I have no idea where I'm staying but I'm guessing it's close to wherever the Green Mill is. Although this computer is acting funny now. It's restarting on its own so I might not be going if I can't figure this out tonight.

 

Theres a bunch of hotels right next to the green mill in Canal Park (the only green mill i know of up here). Where we go is up the hill near the mall though :/ not sure if you should drink...but Ill be doing some work this evening there..call me when you are here and we'll see if we can fit our schdules...I still need to work out and ask jeff...somehow I always take FOREVER to do anything.

 

Coworkers talked me out of driving in this crap. I'm going to be heading up there tomorrow.
