And if you look at the last picture, the damn thing dented my driver's door somehow as I clipped him and scratched my quarter panel too.

gr3y - I have state farm and you have to pay your deductible when you get anything fixed unless you were not at fault, ie. someone rear ended you or failed to yield. That sucks man, I know its cheaper for that higher deduct. but thats why I have mine at 250, cuz I seem to get hit A LOT!. Deer took my back door out on my ms3 2 months after I bought it.. I hate those damn things.

I worked at a bodyshop for almost 5 years. That's where I am brining her. If I have to end up paying my deductible, I now that they will help bury most of the cost cause I worked there. Also, the guys know how picky I am so I know it will be mint when I get her back. I was also the one that inspected most of the cars that were done so I know that they know I will be picky as hell.

Another thing... State Farm better approve ALL OEM PARTS on my car. I realize that I have 8,000 miles on her already, but I don't care. If they try pulling their Aftermarket Radiator and/or Condenser BS I will flip out. No way is aftermarket anything going on a car that could be considered a performance car, ESPECIALLY a radiator or condenser.

If that is the case, oh well. I know my insurance lady really well (and holy **** is she SMOKIN HOT!) so I will be sure to talk to her about it. Even so, I will maybe only have to pay $500... IF THAT since I know they will help bury my deductible as much as possible.

I did the same thing. I called my hot insurance lady. told them what happened and they said to bring it to a body shop. I made sure they said OEM parts would be used, but its also up to the shop. so make sure they use them. MMMm which reminds me I have to call mine now to switch cars and pay more in insurance :/

 

I worked at this bodyshop for almost 5 years. No way in hell is it up to the shop for what parts they put on your car. The shop is responsible for one thing... fixing the car. It's the insurance companies money that is paying for the repair so it's up to them what they use. Sounds like they were giving you the run around.

Either way, I know OEM parts are going on there... I can (and will be if I have to) be a dick about it.

well when my ms3 was going to get "fixed" some shops use aftermarket parts to be cheap and some like the one I had it at said they would use oem. But yeah I wouldnt let anything but oem touch my car either.

Mmm I think mine is out of brooklyn park now..

 

BP eh? HATE that city with a passion. It's where I used to work. I'm not racist by any means, but don't get me started on the idiots that live in that city. The absolute BS that said customers would use for excuses of why they couldn't pay their deductible was sickening. No to mention that we had a couple of hoodlum chicks fist fighting in the lobby once...
