RSD @ GLD? Hope it wasnt too many abbreviations for ya.

Here's the deal

Real Street Drags got moved to FRIDAY NIGHTS now. instead of Saturday that they were last year.

So this year The first one is just 2 short weeks away.

I'm sure all of you guys just have snowballs and talk big **** on the internet over winter but won't show up but i'm letting you guys know none the less.

What are Real Street Drags????
Real Street Drags (RSD) is a special racing event that is held monthly at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI and Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, WI. RSD started in 1999 and was designed to allow the local Chicago-area streetracers the opportunity to stage legal streetraces. By the end of the 2003 season, RSD extended its activities to Wisconsin International Raceway.RSD was founded by local streetracers for streetracers, and is organized by them to this day. RSD was the *first* event of its kind anywhere in the midwest USA, and continues to be the premier streetrace event held anywhere. RSD is designed to keep the racing at the track and off the streets.

- Let me tell you i have been going to these events for the last 7-8 years now and i love it. It just keeps getting better. -

How is RSD different from typical "Test & Tune" events?
Simple!! We host the event strictly for the streetracers! No bracket racing, eliminations, trophy/money....ZERO! When RSD comes to town, it's all streetracing business. We open the gates at 3:00pm, with the track opening at 6:00 for time runs and streetraces. We shift to 'hardcore' streetracing at 8:00 (or sooner), and run until 12:00!! When streetraces occur, racers have the same options as if they were on the street--you can spot a racer out or give/take the leave....whatever you want!! You tell us, and we set it up for you. Heads-up races start with a flagger, and are called by a track-appointed spotter at the finish line. A tree start (pro or sportsman) is also allowed--whatever the racers want, with the timing system's "win" light determining the victor. Because of the nature of streetracing, AT NO POINT DURING THE EVENT ARE THE E.T. BOARDS AT THE FINISH LINE DISPLAYING THE RACERS' TIMES. Likewise, the timeslips are separated and given only to the racer IN THE CAR. Secrecy is critical, and we know it

Who can attend RSD??
Anyone!! Street racing knows no limits. You will see everything from stock minivan's to the baddest of the bad doorslammers at RSD. We have had full race 4 wheelers, jet cars, wheel standers, alcohol dragsters, diesel trucks, as well as import and domestic cars, trucks and bikes. We encourage newcomers to come check it out, especially the younger crowd. Learn what it's like to race without worry of getting arrested!! Learn what does and doesn't happen, and where movies like 'The Fast & The Furious' were right...and wrong. These events have become extremely popular with the spectators, as well, which led to the creation of "Feature Races". "Feature Races" are reserved for the wildest, most unbelievable, insane, high profile races the racers bring to us--and they get *TOP* priority. Boredom is not part of the RSD vocabulary! One thing we will guarantee, whether you are racing or spectating you will have a great time!

-SO AGAIN REAL STREET DRAGS
