Twin Cities Meets

**Update**

What: The first Twin Cities spring meet
When: Saturday, April 7th
Where: Top level of the main parking ramp at the Mall of America (the big one)
Time: 3:00 pm (subject to change)
Who: Anyone who loves cars
Why: Freedom of assembly is protected under the Bill of Rights

Come check out some sweet rides and bring your own. Drive your pink and purple Geo Metro if you want 06VRCoupe to harass you. We don't know what we'll be doing, but it'll be fun cuz there's going to be cars there.

Also, could you make sure that if you say you can show up, please try. The one last year weren't that big. It's always nice to meet new people and see what they have done to their cars.

I also believe that we had them at 5PM in the latter meets. In the earlier ones, it was Noon, and that was a little early on the weekend. If weather doesn't cooperate, we can also move to another weekend.

I moved from Brooklyn Center to Golden Valley vtec, that really doesn't matter though as I will make the drive.

As long as I dont work, I'm up for meeting some new people and everything. I live in roseville and there are lots of nice parks we could meet up in through out the twin city area or the park and ride in maplewood on hwy 61 just north of 36.

personally i'd recommend a location other than brooklyn park. there have been, what, two cars of members of the MN boards stolen in the last two months in that area? I don't feel like prancing my car around up there so some thief can follow me home and jack it later.

Mtka is close to me, lol, or my work! But I live close to my work, so yea, it's close to me.

Yeah, especially what I'm gonna be doing with my car, I'm gonna try to stay away from BC/BP (even though my parents live in BC, I just wont stay for long, lol)

Ions/Balts/whatever you drive. We just looking to meet up with people and cruise or chill/grab a bite to eat and talk about what brings us together, CARS!!!

Tru dat. Are there any park and rides in St. Louis Park? SLP is about as centralized in this area as you can get.

well, that's my weekend to work, 3-11, but if there's gonna be a decent turnout i can get it off. doubt i'll have my car by then, but with any luck the grand prix will have a new tranny so i'll bring that. leave the truck at home, and not have to bring up the rear again

About 5 weeks ago , my partner(at work) and I saw a red ss/sc on a flatbed down between Windom and Worthington. I just figured someone was getting either and exhaust or some other work done. Never noticed anything peculiar about the flatbed so it must have looked the part(meaning relatively new and legit),what I am saying is no "red flag" went up in my head. With so many more expensive vehicles to go to prison for .....you know what I mean ?

Different note would be to hook up at random car shows or swap meets to walk around, shoot the $hit not worry that your cars are the complete center of attention.
Just an idea. Don't hit too hard!

I think I made it to only a couple of those brooklyn park meets, jsut because I'm in EP and it takes me almost 45 minutes to get up there...way to far. I'd suggest either other ramdom meets like the above poster, or just a rotating shift of 3 or 4 metro locations to make it easy for everyone sometimes.

definitely.

I found a park and ride in st. louis park on the intersection of 394 and Park Place blvd. If you mapquest it, it's about as centralized as you can get without being in MPLS or st. paul proper. There's another one in SLP on 394 and Louisiana. Those are my suggestions. You can go to http://www.metrotransit.org/serviceInfo/parkRide.asp for a complete listing of park and rides.

I think a park or mall wouldn't be a bad idea either. Make some suggestions.

Rosedale and MOA are pretty centralized locations too. Keep posting suggestions and I'll make a synopsis so we can get a sort of consensus.

If you want to meet people who are into cars, we don't care what ya drive. You could roll up in a pink and purple Geo for all I care (I might give ya **** for a few minutes, lol) but if you want to meet peeps and take and see what everyone is doing with their cars, everyone is welcome!

It's still in the family!!! MOA is a pretty good idea. So far all of them are. As it gets closer to april or so, we'll pick a location as a group or something w/time so we can all make it and whatnot!

im game with the moa idea, lots of space up on the top level.

plus on top of that, there's a hooters. food at this one is so so, but the selection of beer is good and the scenery is worth the 2 hour drive
