What's up with Time Warner?

So what's going with Time Warner Cable now? First we're losing FOX and were without it for a week or so. Now I'm getting prompts that we're losing Nickelodean and 18 other channels tonight? Is this another agreement that someone doesn't want to compromise on or what? Or just another excuse to cut our service and increase our rates again ?

I just got that prompt on my TV and we dont go through them for cable down here. We go through Comcast. It says call them to demand that they keep the channels. I think its just a way to get you to call and take a survey

same here. mtv, vh1, comedy central, spike tv, nick, and some other ones. i called the number and it just asked for your house phone number then the machine or wutever says it's gonna transfer you. then it answers saying the number no longer exists. so i tried calling again and it just hung up after transferring.

Read the news.

Viacom is charging Time Warner almost a 40% increase in those channels

Time Warner isnt paying it, so they aren't updating the contracts

So basically calling the number is trying show that these channels should be kept and that the contracts should be updated? Or do they want extra money?

The channels haven't been lost yet. There's just a prompt running across the bottom of the screen saying that they will be lost and to call a number to demand they stay.

AND ASK WHY THOSE CHANNELS BEING CUT OFF
WE USUALY PUT LIKE A TRAP FILTER ON THE CABLE WHICH LIMITS CERTAIN CHANNELS

Viacom wants to raise the price of all of their channels, TWC does not want to raise the price to the customers again. I work for twc they told us this morning its all in negotiation im sure they will decide on an agreement, they always do this happens every year, most of the time you just don't here about it.

Viacom is lucky that it has Spike and Comedy Central because MTV and VH1 both suck. why do they even want more money. so they can create more crap shows like The City and Bromance? . . they need an MTV revamp.

I think they should not agree and **** em, its bullshit they are raising the price at times like this, i could care less about most of those chs except the kids channels and comedy central, i have 2 younger kids. MTV sucks ***** now, its not even music television anymore.
