WI/IL folks looking for a tune?

just curious if theres any local SS owners looking for a tune? Im looking to get a decent size group together for tuning at a low cost. I myself will be doing the tuning. I will be using HP tuners as my source to tune with. Just curious to see if theres really a demand out there for people wanting a tune. My tuning is reputable as many local owners seen what my car is capable of and I will tune how you want within safe reasoning. If your looking for fuel map rework your going to need a wideband with a 5volt output otherwise I will keep it down to the basic tq management removal and other things of that nature. any questions feel free to post or send me a PM.

If you have any doubts in his tuning, I've seen it all first hand and he does some real quality work. Takes his time through everything so it's up to par how you want it.

glad to see theres interest. I would like to get about a dozen people together but if people dont wanna wait you can pm me and we can set something up over a weekend. when it comes down to it (not bashing other peoples stuff) but when you purchase a tune you arent getting what your paying for. There tunes need to be conservative so that all factors come into play and dont destroy your motor. theres to many factors that come into play. Gas quality, octane level, elevation, and climate just to mention a few. plus not every car is built the same.

if you dont have a wideband I can do the basic.... Up the rev limiters, adjust boost limits, remove tq management, and a few other things... im trying to keep price disclosed so the thread doesnt get locked. So if your interested send me a PM and I will let you know the price. just to give everyone a idea of what to look at for as gains. most ss/sc dyno between 215-225hp and 185-200tq stock depending on dyno. On my car with a K&N drop in filter, 60lb injectors, catless downpipe, and a basic tune I put down 240hp 200tq running 10.4 a/f ratios. the most recent dyno i did I put down 260hp 255tq and that was with a dp back exhaust, 3 inch pulley, 60lb injectors, and tuned to low 11 a/f ratios. then again dynoed just over 280 with 2.8 pulley header, intake, and slightly agressive tune.

It will be worth the trip.

Curt and I have many many hours tuning all sorts of vehicles. Cavis, Cobalts, GMC/Chevy trucks, GTOs.... cant think of all them at this moment. On my cavi alone i have over 50+ tunes and ended up with 134 hp 134 tq N/A (very very flat dyno with tq starting at 2500 rpms) with a 165k mile motor and was running at 11.0:1 afr according to the dyno wideband. I know i made more power once i tuned it to 13.0:1 just never had a chance to make it to the dyno again because i toasted the trans. I also got the car to run consistent 15.3 passes (over 20 of them) Thats again with very little to no mods.

Was also tuning this 400+ hp Z24.... until it got rearended The motor on this cavalier was built to rev to 7500 rpms but we couldnt take it up there yet because we were running out of fuel on 70ish lb injectors. I know it had 500 hp at least in it but we never got that far because of a damn crotch rocket.

tryin to set a date when me and wrench are both available to do this cause wrench needs some training on the cobalts.... for the longest time ive been the one that tuned the cobalts and stuff and he was the cavi man. but were tryin to get our knowledge together to make it so when one of use arent together were still able to get peoples stuff tuned.

also have to make sure when we go do this weather is clear and permits a lil sprited driving so we can make sure things are safe

I'm actually interested. I'm getting stage 2 installed in my 06 SS SC, as well as a buttload of parts coming in over the next week or two. I'll be getting a CA Header, XTC 2.5" High Flow Cat Downpipe, 2.5" Megan Racing exhaust, Injen Cold Air Intake, Ingall's Torque Dampener, and probably some springs/struts in a few more weeks. I've never had a car with so many mods so I'm all for getting it tuned properly.

lost it with a lot of other paper work I had. disbelieve if you want I understand cause I dont have paper stating a simple fact I will get flamed until proven. Once I get my car running and finish the tune I will be going for another dyno run to hit the 280+ mark again
