wisconsin car club (balts and ions)
Actually everyone who has never owned an AWD car says that...but anyone who owns one knows...they are not as easy as everyone thinks.
Thats just a common misconception because even when you can't launch it properly...they still take off quick, but to launch one PERFECT...it is pretty hard actually. The STI I have now is MUCH harder to launch correctly than my 2000 camaro SS was. Most people think "dude, just floor it and let off the clutch"...totally not true.

2 step lauch control helps a lot under them terms.... but yea you cant just rev it up and dump it........ that puts a lot of shock on the drive train and ive seen a lot of awd cars break stuff...... you have to hold the rpm u want and let the clutch out quick but not so quick that it shocks the drive train........ its hard to explain but im sure u know what i mean

I get it to about 4300rpms and go from there...570ft/lbs, stage 4 clutch, racing pressure plate, plus AWD...equals neck brace required

I'm going to be on hwy tonight (saturday) I need ruffly 290 miles till my clutch is broken in.... everyone that wants my cell number shoot me a PM and leme get your number and I will give you mine. Otherwise if you see a wingless silver cobalt with polished wheels and a loud megan exhaust flag me down...... I will be on the watch for other cobalts. I did see a blue base model that I messed with last night was that you 07cobaltguy? There was a guy driving and a girl with him. other then that I see a blue ss/sc and a black one both looked and sounded stock
the first car I learned to drive was a 90 awd gsx eclipse which was my brothers and thats when i started getting into cars..... I live awd but its not for me....... to much more stuff to break plus its not as fun for me...... I like the challenge of launching and trying to keep traction and once I make just a lil bit more I should be able to bust it lose when i punch it in second.
Yeah teh supra had 2 step launch control...where it boosts up before you even take off...kinda like brake boosting when your rolling. Didn't help him much though
Your exactly right man.

Who are you, just kidding. Yeah good time, not to many cops and it was nice just to shoot the ****. How long did you guys stay out there. We just wanted to go home so took off. Well, hope to see you guys around some time again.
So me and derek were cruisin around on friday night and when i pull atta culvers back onto highway this yellow srt-4 slows way down so it can get next to me. you know it looked nice because it was yellow and had blacked out wheels and super black tint...anyways so i look over and a blonde chick is lookin at me and i could tell she wanted to race cuz she started doin her bov **** so i could hear her turbo (big deal). so i drop down to 2nd and wait about 5 seconds n just punch it...she got ****** smoked. so we pull up to a stop light...light turns green and im gone...shes still back there spinnin her tires. so needless to say i dusted her two more times from a 2nd gear pull....she didnt no how to drive for ****. she would be in second and then shift at like 5 grand (WTF???) and as soon as she shifted that was it...i just took off. then to top it off derek rolled the window down and was like "i think you need to give your boyfriend his car back" hahahahahahahahahahaha
I was up at hwy till about 12:30am........ i had the **** scared out of me when a guy that got out of his car when i was sitting at the donut place were everyone turns around and comes up to my car...... he stuck his had at me and shook my hand. then he looked inside my car and asked "what the hell is done to this thing" I just looked at him and said oh not much just bolt ons. he was quiet suprised about my car I guess cause he thought his 07 gt mustang with intake and cat back could beat me. other then that I took out a bunch of other stuff including a STI with a cat back and a ls1 firebird that he said had a cat back, cam, and intake with no tune. sounded like it was running fine to me but o well. after I left hwy I just drove around to continue on my journey to break my clutch in.
