Mustang.

without a doubt.

not just because it would be funny to see hack leave the site because of it, but because it is indeed the better choice.

Get the Stang.

RWD

V8

HUGE AFTERMARKET

And if you are keeping it stock it is faster than the SS/TC

From a roll.

A stock stang GT off the show room floor will put down solid 13.5s

dont get me wrong i love my ss but the truth is v8s last longer....thast y stangs have a better resale value
of course they do, it cost so much in gas for them right now people hardly drive them...keep that in mind

i'd prefer the steeda bone stock motor.

perfect starting point. if they had that at my dealer, I never woulda walked away with a cobalt.

gas prices aren't as bad as people make them out to be. i got by just fine with my truck only getting 11mpg, on premium. and mustangs, if driven without your foot into it, get pretty damn good mileage too considering the fact that they're a v8.

If the cobalt wins i am leaving this site

mustang FTW! the only reason i can see the cobalt being better is fuel economy

Mustang:
Faster
More Potental (SP)
Nicer looking
Nicer interior
More aftermarket (and will always be more aftermarket)
Better Resale

Cobalt:
Better on gas..

for the person that said "everyone and their brother has a mustang" have you never looked on the road and saw how many g5/cobalts their are..i bet you there is WAY more g5/cobalts then there is 05+ mustangs!

and hack have you ever been in a mustang? how do you figure a cobalt has more features?

v8 sports cars are not that bad, atleast they got aerodynamics, trucks get it the worst, and really americians have nothing to complain about..up here in canada we harvest 98% of our own oil and yet our prices are still higher then yours.

Amen Projekt.

Ever go to the Caribbean? some places gas costs more per litre than it does here per gallon.

it's ridiculous. THOSE are bad gas prices. $4 a gallon? $5 a gallon? still very manageable, imo.

if you bitch and complain about gas prices, then ease off your left foot, i drive very spirited and i pay for it, but atleast i get enjoyment out of my vehicle, and if i had to fill up a v8 every week and drop 80 bucks i would be a little mad, but at that point in my life if i am filling up a nice V8 sports car i sure as hell hope i can afford the 80 bucks in gas

agreed, but honestly is good business...they waited untill the mass population had something to "blame" the rising gas prices on (war in iraq) so they would have a scapegoat...

notice why thro the 90's gas prices would hardly raise, then all of the sudden, once americia attacked iraq the prices suddenly increased!

they where waiting for this...and now they will reap the benefits..good business on their part

Yep, I wouldnt want the engine touched. I wanna do my own things, not rely on something that somebody prob screwed up.

Its so close. The deciding factor is if the ford dealer wants to do business...
If he's gonna keep his rediculous 26.5k price or bump it back to 29k (thats what it used to be)
Then its cobalt for the win. I can get a cobalt fully loaded for 21.5 and thats w/o my GM loyalty and trade in

21-17 cobalt right now

On the mustang forums its
42-14 mustang

On an STi forum its:
12-9-20 Cobalt, mustang, STi
^^^many kids say **** it and get and STi but i dont want one.

I drive a GT, and I have to say that the one you are looking at is nothing special. It has stock exhaust even................ I'd say go look at a different GT.
