And we're the ones that can't take a joke?

First off, I'm not a big fan of street racing, so this should be settled on the track; and I have no problem runnin' you. I feel the need to dog on everyone, so get used to it. It's all in good fun. We all drive Cobalts, right?

Secondly, if you can't beat my car on the track then there's something wrong w/ your driving skills, cause I'm still on stock suspension, tires, clutch and axles at 23K putting down 258 on a mustang dyno...

What did your car put down again?

haha if u wanna go by numbers ull kick my ass cause i put down 213hp/ 198 tq with my current mods, but then again this is on the 3rd lowest reading dyno in the country . but if u wanna go by times at the end of last year my fastest time was a 13.5 @ 107.

as far as the track goes ur gonna have to wait for mid june cause im gonna be out doing circles in the ocean for the next 2 months

rubber duckies FTW...

BTW, on the track w/ my traction issues, I won't be surprised by if I clock a 14.5 @ 107, .

I guess that gives me a little time to at least pick up some 225's for my stockers so I have a fighting chance. Were those times at Lebanon? What do you launch at w/ that setup, 3500-4000?

The mustang dyno I was on throws out numbers about 13.5% lower than your standard dynojet. I know the dyno you speak of, as I've heard 2K5 speak of it many times. Sounds like it puts out about 15% lower numbers.

no i launch at 2000-2500 and im still lucky if i dont spin halfway through second and thats on 235's. yeah i did it at lebanon the end of last year. and yes its the one 2k5ss/sc? tunes on down in chuck town, sc but its a mustang. its a heart breaker for sure. though im hoping by mid june to be in the mid- high 12's @ 110-115 or better

You better pick up some DR's then.

Actually, SMG Performance just posted a GB on Hoosier's in 225/50/15 or 225/50/16. Those should both work, but I think the 16's will rub close to the 1/4 depending on what speed you actually get to...

Why go w/ an expensive upgrade over the stock brakes?

Stock setup is a great setup, and just putting on the GM slotted or powerslot slotted rotors and stainless lines w/ good pads on there will be more than enough for a DD. That way you don't have to get rid of those crazy light aftermarket rims...

the z06 brakes should fit on my rims now the problem is finding 18" drag radials to fit over them

Pretty sure I did, but who cares anyways. You won't be the first and certainly won't be the last.

That is just plain ol' dumb. Absolutely pointless. Just wanted to let you know.

There is no need for that. It's just overkill and asking for issues. Custom projects come w/ custom problems. If you want to put together something worthwhile, most of the part numbers are available now for the conversion to the 08 SS/TC Brembo setup; more than enough for our car. Takes about three tools to change out.

Don't just waste money to say you have something. Save that money for your project...you're gonna need it...

You think buying a kit is gonna make this thing just snap on?

Trust me, you'll be buying more parts before you get that working 100%...

The TC brembos are more than enough (looks, cost-wise and performance-wise) for our cars IMO. Nothing wrong with going custom, though.
