Oh, I know. I was just messin'

Honestly, I plan on leaving mine stock. I don't want to compromise its reliability and mileage, and I'd never use the extra horsepower anyway. My goal is to get at LEAST 100K miles out of this car... It would be nice not to have a payment for a couple years!!

 

from what i've seen, the ecotec takes a lot of abuse fairly well, so leaving it stock and running it til the wheels fall off should take a long time.

hell, with all the stuff out for them now, i think i've only seen one blown (and he built the hell out of the head and block) can you imagine revving to 9k rpms? that would just be sick! i wouldnt be surprised to see a daily driven 400 or 450hp ecotec in the near future...

 

Yeah, they'll take a beating from what I've seen/heard. That's actually a big part of what made me choose this car. Maybe I can get 200K out of it...

 

so can we agree on a date to do this meet on a sat or sun. i like the idea of going to ohio pyle and doing the photos up there i love that place. and also im def. up for a meet in greensburgh as well.

 

Mike, if we all ever catch a slow Saturday, we're usually at the Irwin car cruise. But lately no one's been able to go. FastSS06 goes fishing on the weekends, LittleStealthSS or myself occasionally go auto-xing on Sunday so we're not always up for doing things on Saturday nights. It's just been sorta crazy lately, but if we're going down there, feel free to meet up with us.

 

Ohh.... even if I have a track day the next night... I'm there... I just don't stay out past 10PM thats' all....lol


Speaking of Auto-X.... Alicia... you would've loved the course yesterday. The big HP FS and SS guys didn't like it, but it was still fun.

I did a best of 53.249... and the FTD ( Justin & his STI... With 2 passengers!!!!!!!! ) set a 44.2xx ( i think ). He basically clinched DOY already.

Lots of transitions... no straight lines at all, and only one long slalom, but that was coming off an almost 1st gear turn ( i did 1st gear in the AM sessions ).

Finished 7th in Street tire class ( of 11 ), but WAS 5th after the morning.

Had I run in DS... I would've been in 2nd ... but there was only 1 other car in DS, and he ws a WRX wagon w/ R-comps & Koni's.

FUn day!

 

I was feeling pretty shitty yesterday, and still am. I just basically laid in bed all day. Hopefully I can get all this depression stuff sorted out soon.

 

Just wanted to know if anybody was going out for a curise this weekend. let me know.

 

I don't get back until the 23rd, anytime after that we'll see.

 

not to change the subject but, i have an intake for an 03-05 cavalier if anybody is interested or knows anybody thats interested. its a weapon r. i had it on my 04 cavalier for 2 weeks then i bought my ss/sc cobalt. i paid $200 for it. its still brand new filter isnt dirty or anything. asking $150 for it. pm me if ur interested.
