no i jusat shift normal i dont race the thing or anything, not since the track did i abuse the car. i should have just bought an LS, lol. waste of a perfectly good SS

nah you would of never been happy with the performance of the LS. ok so you can only go from 1st to 2nd...... no 3rd, 4th or 5th? that's really weird, did you raise the question in the tech section?

its because his sweep cable on his shift linkage is mess up... one cable does the forward back and the other does the side to side sweep

you can pop the shifter cover up and see if its moving atleast

remove the cupholders as well. that's what I did when I was fixing my buddy's shift linkage that completely broke. He had NO gears.

Matt.... i'm not going to lie. i dont think i'll be coming tomorrow, haha!

the gf is buying me a new bed for Christmas, tonight... so i'll be bringing it home and sleeping on it ASAP! i'll probably "oversleep"

them cables are pricey to so don't force it if it wont move haha

I dont think a shift linkage could ever be frozen, lol. my old car never had that problem. I did pop off the cup holder to look at it, didnt know what I was looking at, lol. One servo linkage was moving when I moved it back to forward. the left one didnt move.

I put a thread in the LNF tech section as well.

it must be at the trans then, is my guess with out seeing it

Dodge's trannys are made out of lego's. Ask me how I know

I'll put $$ that it's in the linkage. Take off the cupholder and look at a gray/silver snap on clip, that's what keeps it all together (connecting the linkage to the shifter ball). As I said on the previous thread, kinda odd/hard to explain through written word.

id bring it to the dealer let them break the linkage it will be covered under warranty its extremely easy to break the cup/ball end on those linkages if your not careful
