my belt just snapped. I was trying out the torque damper and at the top of 2nd she decided to go. thought I popped something but no clanking is a good sign. she made it home on the battery. anyone have any idea what could've caused this besides the rock stuck in the tensioner lol

 

the belt was prob just getting old..

 

belt slip? Are you running a stg 2 belt? If not a tensioner?

 

that sucks! how far were you from home that you made it home on the battery?

 

He's on the stock pulley iirc. Could've just been a freak thing.

Check to make sure all of your pulleys are straight and lined up properly. Next make sure the idler pulley isn't seized up. Now get yoself a new belt!!!

 

passed a stock looking 05 or 06 ss/sc going onto 109 off of weldwood..any idea?

I was only like 2 miles away from home thank god my battery is so shot too I'm shocked it made it. New belt, torque damper, sc oil and ported blower now. wasn't such a bad thing after all. also I just found out my grandfather is in the hospital again for his heart literally like 5 minutes ago so I can't make it out tonight. I'll be out and about tomorrow though!

 

I'll prob. be at DPA tomorrow night.
