hopefully early next week if I can take off tuesday, we should be able to finish it then. Worst part though is going to be the tuning issues. Hopefully I can get by with my fueling and a stock timing map and go from there. Gonna try and get the car at least driveable on 15psi or so before cranking it up to 22.

 

I was just reading another turbo guy's thread i forget who but he was saying that the stock MAF wasn't handling all the air that was coming in. It was just overloaded. Are you worried about taht?

yeah a little bit, but he's using a draw through (before the turbo) setup which can spike the maf. I'll be setting up blow through (after the turbo) which I know some people have had luck with. IF not though, I"ll be picking up an LS2 Maf setup since it's good to about 600-800 hp stock lol. It can read a lot of air. I think ours fails at 42lb/min or something like that 14,000hz is our total limit with 12k hz being the usual accuracy limit. I know I hit @11,000hz with the s/c setup I was on. So god only knows what this turbo will do. Thankfully this is a small turbo, but should support a minimum of 350whp and I guess with meth and 24-25psi I should be able to hit 375+whp.

 

Sounds good. It should still be a monter though. You went with a gt28 right?

 

nah, T-3 super 60 setup.. once the other motor is finally finished I"ll be swapping over to a different manifold and a gt30R

That's good to hear brian. I think they gave you the wrong ones anyway.
And yes sean this is the basis for a turbo kit. Once it's all tested and the tuning bugs are worked out. It should be released to the public
