We will be meeting at the Charlton Plaza rest stop on the Massachusetts Turnpike, westbound side. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to Waterbury from Charlton.

We are leaving at 8:15am SHARP. If you show up after 8:15am, just keep going and catch up as we will be gone. I plan to be at the rest stop by 8am at the latest myself. Please plan on getting there around the same time or earlier if you need to go inside to get a coffee, breakfast, or whatever you need to do.

I'll bring directions and lead the way down.

When: 11/4/06
Where: Charlton Plaza Rest Area, Mass Pike Westbound
What time: 8:00am

The Boston Cobalt List:
1. GSoccer24 (Jeff)
2. blackphoenix(ryan)

Travel Advice to the Northern NE fellas!!

Dont take I-84 All the way to the mall. It might take longer but take 91 to 691 and connect with 84 after Hartford. This should get you around a lot of construction. I grew up in Cheshire (over the hill from W-bury) and they havent finished a lot of the work on the highway. Another idea is to get off at the Cheshire exit and take the city streets into the mall.
Other Local Boys, help out with directions to avoid traffic...ive been gone six years with the navy so things may have changed...again.

Yeah, if any of you out-of-state guys need help with local directions don't hesitate to write or PM us local guys for help. One of us could always meet you just off the highway and walk you right in.

still not gonna help with the contruction problem. right were u get off 691 is the problem lol so stayin on 84 or takin 91-691-84 would put you right in the same construction spot because 84 west comin from north is pretty much all clear to that spot lol. but at 9:30 10 am on a saterday traffic isnt usually that bad and its still like 2 or 3 lanes open most of the time.

the 84 to 15 to 91 to 691 to 84 etc. way will work best. my girl travelled it last weekend and said it wasn't bad at all. plus we do have the benefit of it being somewhat early on a saturday.

Honestly, at that time of the day your better off staying on 84 all the way to Waterbury. I'd put money on that there won't be any traffic then. Thay have been doing all of they're work at night, I know this because I travel that way every night coming home from work at 7:30.

What's up Mike!
Yeah all the construction is at night. My step brother is an inspector on that job site right now. He works 3rd shift because of it. So I guess either way would work. Staying on I84 is easier than jumping I84 to 691 to I84. Damn I can't wait for this.

that would be if you're headed eastbound on the pike. we're meeting on the westbound side which is all by itself a few miles from anything before it.

I hear you man. He just left to go there right now. There is a huge lawsuit. The construction company did a lot of faulty work like drains that don't go anywhere, stuff like that. They realy messed things up.

Yeah thats what i've been hearing. I'll be heading home in about a half hour, just so i can sit in that mess and get home an hour later. The guys heading in on Saturday morning won't have to put up with that crap. Makes more sense to me to just ride 84 all the way in.

Yeah I think you may be right because either way you would have to go through Hartford.
