CT Cobalts
It happened a few weeks after I installed 09CobaltSS1's K&N Drop in filter (It's probably cursed). But, I'm getting a Type B DTC. P0236 - Turbocharger Boost System Performance.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
P0236 - Engine Cranking
The ECM detects when the engine is cranking that the boost pressure sensor signal plus a calibrated threshold is not within range of a model derived from the BARO sensor, the MAP sensor, and the boost pressure sensor for more than 2 seconds.
P0236 - Engine Idling
• The ECM detects when the engine is idling that the boost pressure sensor signal is less than 50 kPa for greater than 4 seconds continuously, or 50 seconds cumulative.
OR
• The ECM detects when the engine is idling that the boost pressure sensor signal plus a calibrated threshold is not within range of the BARO sensor for greater than 4 seconds continuously, or 50 seconds cumulative.
When the code is active my BARO numbers are where they are supposed to be. I'm pretty sure it's setting during cranking. I was trying to figure it out last week, but then it started to act normal again. But of course it's back when i have to drive up to Ithaca, NY tomorrow after I get out of work. I just don't have the time while I'm at work, to work on my own car. Oh well, N/A 2.0 for the time being. If I'm lucky, I see 5lbs of boost. WWWOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
That recall only takes about 1/2 hour to do. Just call ahead to set an appointment and have them order the motor. Currently the motors are on back order and getting shipped from Canada, so no need for a rental.

Oh yes Mr. LSJ, you will still get fucked up fuel trims from just a cai on an otherwise stock ss/sc. They just aren't as crabby about changes as the LNF's are. Plus he didn't even put a CAI on the car... just a stupid k&n drop in filter. Stupid GMS1!!
hahaahahaha I had a CEL on and off but not in a long time. Travis should go aftermarket tune, since he works at the dealer and getting warranty stuff is no problem
I'm not throwing you under the bus. I'm sure it's just coincidental that it happened shortly after I put that filter in. My fuel trims moved another 4% from what they were before the filter. I can only imagine that a CAI on your little LSJ probably has your fuel trims at 8-10%.
dude I really think your car HAS to have like a GM stage 2 on it without you knowing about it or something like that. I mean you put down 231whp "stock" and Chris's car with a 2.75" pulley, 60lb injectors with a BYT tune put down 255whp that day, and Zack put down 235whp with a 2.75" pulley and 42lb injectors so something just doesn't add up. I know GM under rated the ss/sc from the factory, but not by 50bhp. I think you and I need to take a closer look at your car one of these days
Hey guys, I am selling a bunch of stuff, some of it local only. Check out my for sale thread.

Nope stock, I even checked the injectors when I first got the car to be sure it wasn't GM stage 1. I doubt it's tuned because who would spend the money to tune a stock motor, and not add smaller pulley, injectors, etc. I guess we will see when john plugs his computer in.
Do you remember what you are making for boost by any chance? I just can't wrap my head around a stock lsj making that much power at the wheels on that mustang dyno. Especially seeing as how the others guys had many more mods with almost the same power output as you.
