Well I have had the GM stage 2 kit sitting in my room for about 2 months now and I haven't really found a dealer to install it. Saturn of Newark doesn't have the tools and other dealers said they would call me back but never did.

For those who have had stage 2 installed in delaware, where did you go and how much did you pay? Thanks

 

Ask the dealer if they have a 20 or more ton press in the shop. chances are that they will since they are needed to press like wheel bearings and things like that. The rest of the install is using basic hand tools and then the tech II scanner for the re-programming. I know you probably already know all of this. The dealer that did my stage II said that they didnt have the tools and had never done that before but i talked to one of the better techs there and the service manager and we tried it and it went flawlessly.

the dealerships in Delaware SUCK!! they have no idea that gm even makes the stage 2 kit. i told the dealership i was looking into getting one, and the service guy says and i quote, " You know thats going to void your warranty right?" there is no one around here to do it.

 

Just go up to a dealership outside of philly. My dealership was a good group of guys from what I could tell.

Del Chevrolet in Paoli, Pa. Shouldn't take you anymore than an hour if there's no traffic. Just take RT 30 West off of I-476. Its Exit #13

 

So merc im confused as to why the Saturn place won't do it. If they did chris's car.....Shouldn't it be the same as yours? And Im pretty sure thats were Jermey got his done. Or well yeahhhhh ask him, he may know. And im guessing you tried NuCar right on 13? Other then that....I have noooo idea.

 

They said they don't have the pulley puller or some **** at this moment.

It was impossible to get through to Nucar so I gave up with them.

 

Will saturn of newark do it? And You live off 202 right? Is there any dealers over the PA line that will do it? haha

 

Yeah, but like I said before, they don't have the right tool to take off the pulley.

Yes there are dealers in PA who will do it, but I'm not paying tax!

Mercury, did you ever get your stage2 kit installed? I use to work at Saturn of Newark maybe we can arange something if you havn't got it installed.

 

Still haven't had it installed... Nobody has the pulley puller

its really amazing the misinformation about this at dealers, they sell the freaking part they should have a clue

its pathetic and its the major reason I wont get any of the Gm parts or at least not at a dealer they dont know their ass from a hole in the ground

 

Saturn of newark did both me and my brothers install. No reason for them to have "lost" the tools....


My suggestion, sell it as if you have it you will use it, trust me on that one.
