damn donna that sux... do you know if he's in today... I have to tow my car out of the dealership somewhere to fix the tranny myself... they're covering the axle but won't touch the tranny.. (I have all the parts needed to fix myself already) but I know he was working on getting a clutch made for me.

I am... have 2 sets of axles coming in next week.,., one driveshaft shop set and one custom set... plus C/A is getting a 6 puck made for them so hopefully its ready soon so I can install that with the fidanza flywheel... so hopefully within a week its back together and much stronger... plus I'm sending one of the trannys to my race shop tranny guy to see how to make em stronger .... now its time to go all out... **** gm's warranty.. I've been building cars for about 12 years now.. so I think I should be able to get it done (just first front wheel drive tranny I"ll be doing) well wish me luck

Sweet, good luck with getting those axles made and getting the trans back into shape. I will be coming to DPA tomorrow night. I'm also bringing another .net member with me as well but he won't be bringing his car. So expect me to show up. My name is Adam.

Damn.. well I spoke to him today and he said tow the car in ... I feel really bad doing this but right now I have no place to go with this problem... but I researched and found 100 other cobalts in the trystate area with the same problem (even bone stock ones) so hopefully gm will do something about this before the day is over... Big mike is going down there with some news channel to expose whats goin on with these cars...
so lets see what happens

I'm gonna probably leave at 2 to go to the dealer and see what the hell is going on.... then i'll be off to c/a with whatever info they tell me... I just want to know what the hell is going on before I jump into anything... cause now all work is on hold on all cobalts around here until a gm rep comes to each dealership... apparantly this is a wide spread problem

And they are just realizing this? WTF? Damn lazy ass corporate bitches! I feel bad for you Paul. Even if you were drag racing there is no reason what-so-ever that your bellhousing should cracked apart (it did right?) Ghey....GM is GHEY

I was with my friend at hawthorne chevy in their garage. They had a sweet 06 corvette. I asked them why it was in there. They said the guy broke the rear axels and cracked the bellhousing. I was like hOW!? The guy wouldn't say anything but my friend seems to think he was drifting and hit something. Guess how much in damages.....

$12,000 to fix the corvette and not under warranty. And the guy said fix it....Jeese I wish i had money like that.

But anyway, who is still going to DPA tonight? Are we meeting at Cobalt Addiction?

Yeah thats what I'm saying. Since you weren't racing there was no reason at all that it shoulda happened. My clutch was slipping again yesterday...getting onto the Northern state too...I'm so glad I was only able to hit 30 MPH by the time the ramp ended cause 2nd gear wouldn't catch!

We should try to get something going for KBB or Consumer Reports to make this a more publicly known thing. Bring it out and force GM to fix this crap or earna bad name for themselves. The more people that know about this, the more likely we can get **** done!
