Drag strip meet

I have been wanting to take my car to the strip for along time and thought it be cool to have a group of cobalts to go. Would anyone be interested in doing a mini meet at a drag strip?

Ha, sure thing. I got my cobalt at the end of last summer and put stage II on during the winter, haven't had the opportunity to test it out yet on the track. Figure the first time or two before I'll get the hang of it but should run in the upper 13's, might not take out the SRT's but will be fun.

i would definitely love to go sometime after i go back to school tomorrow. but i am super noobish when it comes to drag racing (never done it, never been to one) but i think it would be a lot of fun. can just anyone who wants to race their car stroll in and race? or is it some kind of organized thing? how much does it cost? sorry again, i just dont know that much about it, but would love to try it

I used to go all the time to just watch but never raced. http://www.masondixondragway.com/March-2008.htm thats the calender for this month. Its been awhile since I have been there but I think its $10 to get in and $25 to race.

Do they require helmets? And if so do they have them there for your use, or rental?
