I got the $150 radar detector from Cobra and I ****** love it. havnt gotten a ticket since and it seems to go off alot when cops are around. Plus has a compass incase I need to know

I've had a Cobra since summer of 2006 and it's been awesome. Kinda weird sometimes because every now and then the radar wont go off until I'm right up on the cop, but I try to still rely more on looking around than on the actual detector. I wanna get either the Valentine or the Escort, but I just can't justify $300-400 for a radar detector.

Well you gotta remember it doesnt detect cops. It detects radar guns. If a cop has his radar gun turned off its not going to go off. But if a cop has his radar turned off then hes not clocking you for speeding. But then you still cant roll through stop signs or not signal a turn.

Some cops turn their radars to POP which means it stays off and they just point and click and it tells them the speed. mine detects that but it wont constantly go off only when he hits the button to clock some1 around me. the ones that keep it on are on some sort of K band. K, KA, KU. And then that **** goes off for like a mile and a half

 

^^Yea I know and that's what the gf doesn't quite understand haha. But what I mean is, if a cop and I are both going opposite ways on a road, I'll see 'em coming, the radar will go off from 1 up to 3 as they get closer and pass, but then after they're already passed me it'll go to 4 and 5 and then back down to nothing. What's that all about?

 

hes not clocking you till after you went past him it sounds like. Maybe hes clocking some1 else, some1 next to you or in front of him. Then after he passed you he clocked you getting ready to pull a U turn if you were downshifting, backfiring, and whyning down the interstate

 

But it's on the backroads by my house, one lane each way. Idk, doesn't really matter, just always seemed a little weird. Like I said, when it happens I'll almost always see 'em coming anyway so it's not like I really need to slow down.

Yea your rims did come out amazing. I just added you to myspace just so you know.

And also everyone check out the myspace page, I just redid it again. Tell me if its too hard to read and ill go back and take out the opacity.

I also added a calender of events. I only added a few so far. If you have any meets you know about message me all the information so I can put it on the calender. Especially local meets, message me with the type of meet and the location and ill put it up there. I have it set to automatically message everyone a day before and remind them of the event which is pretty cool.
