i heard island sucks. track is horrible. my cousin ran there and said there was a giant crack running perpendicular through the track.

 

yea Island is pretty bad. I'll never go there again...then again I don't really need to since I live pretty damn close to englishtown

Did any of you long island guys hear about the track opening up or being built in yaphank?? just wondering if its true or not if it is i will ALWAYS be up at the track.

 

I know one closed down 2 yrs ago or so (west hampton)... I heard something about one that might possibly get built on the old airfield (gruman) that might be it.... keep you fingers crossed.,.. cause in traffic it took us over three hours to get to e-town yesterday...
I know I should have put on my stg II belt and retuned yesterday before I went to the track... damn 11.5 afr... oh yeah and mud and snows on steelies SUCK... spun half the track... but oh well I"ll be back in 2 weeks lets see what happens. oh yeah these cars def hate heat and humidity.

there is a grumman in riverhead too that closed down where they have the twa flight. Maybe that is it we really need something on the island to do during these long summer months.

 

I know.... the ride to jersey sux in the afternoon... traffic is usually a nightmare... River head would be cool... still a long ride for me.... but no tolls.

 

there will be no track. It was supposed to be a nascar oval and quarter mile track in brookhaven. I went to the meetings, we got shafted.

 

of course,,, damn bitchy old LI people... oh well e-town on the 4th maybe... whos down?
