not far at all... it's right next to it... you can be anywhere from right over the bridge, but if you look in north east new jersey it's close... i work in ridgewood which is about 20 minutes away... trust me, it's worth the 20 minutes to not have to worry about getting ripped off by a hotel or paying for parking, or having your car broken into... if you need help let me know, i can recomend a few places in the area...

haha... you get used to the smell in about 5 minutes though!! but for realy, i don't know how dirty jersey came about... it's a hell of a lot cleaner then new york... i mean if you go the the big cities like newark, jersey city, paterson, etc it's a shithole, but any of the suburbs or regular towns are very clean and nice... you new yorkers are just jealous that we have trees and grass in our backyards!!

Dude, get a hotel in Jersey City or Newark and then take the PATH trains in from Newark or Jersey City. That way you don't even have to worry about a car. If you can, get a flight ot Newark, they're cheaper.

PATH is $1.50 a ride and then get an unlimited MetroCard in NYC for the subways. You'll save **** loads of money and won't have to worry about a car.

PATH trains leave from Newark Penn Station, which is in downtown Newark, where the hotels are. And downtown Newark is actually turning around and is kinda nice.

same thing from secaucus, but in secaucus you won't get mugged, watch heroin and crack transactions, and be begged for money... they LOVE out of towners there...

But if he's coming here, don't you think he needs the flavor of being in the NY metro area? I mean what's a trip to Newark without seeing herion and crack dealers. He may even be lucky enough to see the crack ****** that abound there too.

Downtown Newark ain't that bad. JC, yeah it's that bad.

haha... so true... they have a radar for out of towners... i had a roommate from south carolina and her parents came up so we brought her to new york... they'd never been there... the whole time i was like "No, don't talk to that person." "NO, don't give them money... they don't need food, they need drugs." "Just keep walking, don't look at that guy laying on the ground." haha...

i know... i used to go to spanish harlem... not the best place for a jersey boy with long blond hair and dressed like a surfer... (in high school used to buy weed there) but if you keep your head down and keep walking no one messes with you... it's like the scary dog... once you make eye contact that **** bites you, but if you look the other way it will growl, but lay back down...
