Hey i am from Newport News VA. Just bought my Cobalt SS/SC bout a month ago. and love it so far. Its silver and i havent seena ny other silver ones around. Gettin a little nervous the last couple of days though reading this forum about all the problems people are having with there cars. Hope mine doesnt follow down the same path! Welcome to the board brother...Most of the problems you're reading about occur in the 05 models, no worries if you have an 06. To my knowledge, you have the only silver one on our side of the water(I live in Hampton, drive a black s/c...IRISHSS on the plates). Hang out, have fun, stay a while and we'll see you at some meets in the near future I hope

 

hey there! welcome to Cobaltss.nets hampton raods thread! (well 1 of many hampton roads/virginia threads!) the only cobalts i ve really seen so far in the area are sedans! i know theres an orange cobalt owner that works at the rally's on 17 (j clyde morris) but other then that. i havent seen any SS S/C ( but i did see a yellow on on thursday out in gloucter) i ll put in to have april 29th off at walmart! so count me in. just hope we can meet before that date!i want race but i can bring the vid cam and dig cam ( ill be the cheerleader lol )

Actually, him and his wife made it out to one of the Saturday meets we've had. We tried to do some things to his car....lemme say, they were a major PITA and we didn't get them all accomplished.

p.s. it sits lower than mine does.....I couldn't get my jack under it to lift it up....

We can definately set something up prior to the 29th, I just used that date because it's a month away, and it'd be good for planning a track day. As for closing this one down, I've been wondering the same thing, why not just merge the main ones? (This one, and the track day one)

Have any of you guys been to wheels next lately cause I have a base cobalt and I'm going to order speedy Race Mode rims and tires with free shipping. Im trying to see what they say about a group buy. I also want feed back an them. Oh almost forgot they offer military discount. I don't know how much though.

 

Any plans for any meets on this side of the water and where? Also looking for someone that might be getting new rims and wanting to get rid of at least 1 SS/SC rim. I did a curb rub and scratched one of my rims up. I was so pissed. Just let me know. I can also be reached at boston69@***.net.

i will be there on april 29th, i m also bring a "lady" friend. if all goes well, i ll be up on the the 21st! my sister and brother n law will be up there racing his '68 nova ss. so im looking forward to it. i ll take a lot of pics and video.. anybody else be have plans going that weekend? let me know!

 

btw.. i passed a cobalt ss s/c......a laser blue cobalt ss s/c passed me today around 5:45pm on route 17 (J Clyde morris) any takers? was wondering if it was a chasy salesman giving a demo ride.

 

I can be there on the weekend of the 22nd but I'm booked up the 2 weekends after that. I have a weird work schedule where I work 2 weekends and off 2. Next friday the local 1/8mile track opens for street cars and I plan to get some practice in
